This is my 4th of July beer.
It poured to nearly 2 fingers of white, fizzy head. The body is a translucent pale yellow. Head tries to lace, no-go.
I smell wheat and sugar. Grass is also apparent, and watermelon seems weak, if there at all.
The opening of this is wheat and light yeast. The flavor, as advertised by the can, is dominated early on by watermelon, and they didn't get it quite right. The flavor starts out authentic, but ends up getting into a candy-like sweetness as you're swallowing it. The aftertaste is spot on though. Grass joins the watermelon near the end.
The mouthfeel is light bodied. The carbonation is pretty active on your tongue, and the beer leaves a very light residue on the back of your tongue and roof of your mouth. That said, it is refreshing. Another beer good for yard work.

A - Cloudy light golden pour with a high white foam head. Soapy lacing on the glass.
S - Has a strong wheat aroma, and certainly a faint smell of watermelon rind. slightly too candy like (think Jolly Rancher) but better than others I can recall.
T - Typical witbier profile more than what one would consider a fruit beer. Light grains give a nice base to a beer that is refreshing. Finish hits the mouth with sweetness of watermelon that is pleasant although maybe a bit too sweet.
M - Has a wheat germ grottiness to it. Leaves a sweet finish that would make it not sessionable to me, but likely for others. Clean beer.
O - Not bad and a good summer beer. I just don't see this being anything special.

Slightly hazy light gold/straw colored body. Lots of carbonation. Crisp white head about two fingers thick. Recedes to a thin white lacing. Pretty decent for style. Head disappears completely.
Very light aroma of cracker like malt and a subtle watermelon (candyish) aroma. Like a wheat beer with a watermelon jolly rancher dropped in. Sweet cereal grains in the nose.
Remains a very refreshing beer with a great watermelon flavor (even if somewhat artificial) that is not overly sweet, and still slightly resembles beer. Pretty good execution. Light watermelon hints in the finish and aftertaste. Not dry, but pretty clean finish. Great level of carbonation. Medium bodied. Not excessive carbonation but definitely on the more appropriate side of full carbonation. Wheat malt comes through in the beginning. Clean, cracker like. Good flavor. Excellent.
I think this beer is great. With summertime arrived, this is a great beer for drinking by the water. Pretty approachable by everyone, and it treats the fruit wheat beer category right.
