Pours a slightly hazy medium golden with a frothy cream head that dissipates slowly.

Resin, muted citrus, dank hops, fresh cut grass, and a fairly sweet, bready malt character form the initial aroma. Smells like fresh dough and a resiny bowl met a grapefruit.

Flavor is disappointingly sweet. There's decent hop bitterness and resin at the finish, but the sweetness is cloying. Notes of grass and citrus are somewhat overwhelmed by the malt. The oak blends well into the flavor profile, so much so that I don't know if I'd know it were there if I weren't told.

Body is fairly full, with moderate carbonation, and moderate alcohol warmth.

If the malt were dialed down a bit or attenuation were better, this would be a great beer. It's only 2 months old, so age isn't to blame.

Poured from a 12oz can best by 10/11/14 into a tulip
A: Pours a gold color with a solid 1+ finger head
S: Grain, caramel, orange and a hint of oak
T: Full of grains up front then citrus/pine come through on the finish
M: Fairly full bodied; viscous but not hot
O: Doesn't just hit you in the face with hops but they're definitely there, more on the palate than nose. Overall quite tasty and the alcohol is hidden; recommended overall

12oz (best by 10/11/2014) into a tulip. Pours a clear straw color w/ a soft white head that leaves behind a thin film, like soap suds, on the glass.

Aroma is floral and a little bit cat pee-ish, maybe some onion too. I've heard references to this aroma before but only noticed it in a few beers. Hard to place but I'm not wild about it. There's some mango and other tropical aromas in here too.

Taste is likewise bready, floral and fruity with a similar taste as in the aroma. The high ABV is certainly well hidden though.

Mouthfeel is soft and delicate, probably what I like most about this beer. Almost feels like a Belgian on the palate, but with a sharp hop bitterness on the finish.

Overall, I'm not sure what to make of this. It's certainly a different DIPA but I don't think it's for me. Too fruity, maybe too malty.
