Slightly wrinkled can poured into pint glass:

A (3.5): Beers pours a transparent deep wheat color, that clouds with sediment addition. An eighth inch of head forms and hugs the glass. Fine bubbles seem to be trapped along the surface, as if in amber or rendered sugars and fats.

S (3.25) : Lemon, pineapple, Dole, sucrose.

T (4.25) : Huge bitter blast in contrast to the nose. Searching for oak spirals like a prize in a cereal box. Citrus flavor(orange this time), a sweet flash and a lingering bitter make for an excellent finish.... alcohol mixed with a small amount of oak is noticeable in the long finish

M (4) : Super smooth light in body, alcohol flavor is well contained, not overly sweet or sticky, the citrus experience is like that of the spritzing of an orange as it's peel is forced backward.

O (4) : Overall seems to be a category defined by personal stubbornness, of which I am king.

CRISIS AVERTED!

A: Beautiful hazyish orange with a short, slightly tan head.

S: Pineapple, orange and oak in a great nose.

T: Pineapple, pnie, mango, oak and malt, deliciously dry.

M: Medium bodied and smooth.

O: Well worth a try. This is my favorite 21st amendment beer. They're an excellent brewery.

12oz can poured into a dogfish head IPA glass.

A: Cloudy lemon yellow color. A massive fine-bubbled white head retains extremely well. Clumpy and sticky lacing clings everywhere.

S: Pithy lemon with sugar, tangerine, pineapple, and pulpy tropical fruit juice. Malt body has a big honeyed aroma. Sweet bud. Faint wafts of oak.

T: Tropical fruit juice. Pineapple in a big way. Tangerine. Sweet bud and 'green' planty flavors. Hefty sweet honeyed malt base underneath. Oak rides in with a drying effect and brings woody vanilla flavors. Oak carries into the drying finish along with some oily hop spice.

M: Full medium body. Rounded and cloud-like in the mouth. Low carbonation. Moderate astringency from both hops and oak. Very nice texture.

O: My expectations were rather low here, as I'm always dubious of oak-aged IPAs. This one grew on me though. Without the oak I think it would just be much too sweet. The texture really boosts the drinkability factor, and there's no way you would ever guess that this was 9.7% abv.
