Had this during O'Briens Wet Hop Festival. Pours clear orange with a white ring of bubbles. Lots of caramel with some tropical hops in the nose. Kind of like a fruitcake. Earthy, yet citrusy in the taste. Bit sweeter than your normal IPA. Grapefruit and blood orange. Good stuff.

Appearance: dark orange in color with a 2" thick head. Nice lace develops during the session.
Smell: caramel and some hop presence is mild but detectable.
Taste: caramel, pear and apple sweetness, some citrus tones, and a floral hop bite. There is a bit of earthiness that arrives late.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp from start to finish with a bit of dryness late.
Overall: this was a very fresh wet hopped ale that fit the fall season nicely. I enjoyed this with a burger at the pub in SF and it was an enjoyable lunch.

A - Served a clear copper-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. Head fades down slow leaving behind some lace.
S - Aroma is full of fresh citrus hops with some sweet caramel malts and some light bread. There is some floral hop and grassy hop as well.
T - Starts off with some citrus and tropical fruit hops with some bitterness and sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, some more malt comes through with a bit more bitterness with some floral hops. The finish is a mix of tropical hops with bitterness and a bit of sweet malt.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a nice dry finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice fresh hop IPA. Good hop and malt balance as well.

10 ounce glass at O'Briens Pub in San Diego on 10/25/08 for three dollars, reviewed from notes, first beer I tasted at this year's Wet Hop Festival
A-Golden orange color with some amber, 3/4 inch white foamy head that lasts three to four minutes, some retention, lacing at the beginning
S-Floral hoppiness, lemon juice, grassy accents, tropical fruits, definitely fresh Chinook in this one, caramel, and lots of citrus
T-Starts off with an earthy hop profile, some oranges and grapefruit in the middle, ends with floral accents and light caramel malt, fresh hops make it almost chewy which was a first for me with this kind of brew, smells better than it tastes but it is pretty good, get more citrus later on when it warms, unlike others of this style I tried this weekend, this stays dry and hoppy all the way through
M-Dry, earthy, and citrusy mouthfeel, medium bodied, strong level of carbonation, taste lingers a long time because of the earthiness
D-Goes down easy for a wet hop IPA, could drink numerous glasses of this, alcohol is hidden and low, would make a nice session beer, light on the stomach
I have enjoyed the two beers 21st Amendment has in cans and this was an extension of that, fine brew that was my third favorite of the two nights of the festival, would like to drink again, recommended
