Bitter flavor slighty unbalanced. I like a bitter flavor but a little high for an amber. Slightly lingers. I think the only concern with the beer.
Color is a solid golden. Evenly balanced. Nicely carbonated.
Not much aroma from the beginning. Overall flavor is still good.

On-tap at 21A

A: The pour is amber in color, like you would expect, with a mild off-white head and some minimal lacing.

S: Lots of citrus notes, primarily grapefruit and oranges. The caramel and bread notes round out the nose.

T: I'm not sure where the grapefruit went, but there are certainly plenty of oranges. A good caramel, toffee, and sweet bread backbone. The bitterness is mild and the beer tends toward the sweet side of ambers.

M: The body is medium with carbonation right in the middle of the road as well.

D: A nice drinkable amber. I would have preferred some more bitterness, but it was good as is.

On tap at Eagle Rock Brewery in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear copper with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, citrus fruit, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with nice citrus forward hop qualities all around.

Clear copper colour with a large, off-white head. Nice creamy head with good retention.

Sweet malt with some hoppiness. Clearly a somewhat malty beer but there is some hop character.

Medium bitterness with some caramel malts. Some sweetness. Well balanced.

Moderately-light body with moderately-high carbonation. Fine.

A solid hoppy amber ale but it isn't really blowing my mind.
