Had this on tap at 21st Admendment in San Francisco.

Darker, but see through, amber color with an off-white head. Some caramel and toffee notes along with some fruity esters. Floral and earthy hops provide a bit of balance. A touch of alcohol on the palate. Some sweet bread, toast, and toffee maltiness. Light hop profile of floral and earthy hop flavors. A very mild bitterness.

Would be a much better brew if it was more thick but this brew is way to watery and thin for something they call "IMPERI"ALE". At 7.8% abv / 40 IBUs it doesn't really even do a regular ESB justice, never mind a Imperial ESB.
