Poured from a can into a tulip.
A: pours almost completely black, just a little bit of maroon around the top when held to the light... Fat finger if khaki colored head, nice retention and decent lacing.
S: deffiantly smells a bit salty, along with my roasty and chocolate notes. Aroma remind me of oysters. Pleasant overall.
T: the ocean like characteristic follows through to the flavor, particuarly on the finish, but it is not overwhelming. The roast is toned down a tad from the aroma but is still present along with chocolaty notes. I feel like the oyster character becomes more evident as the brew warms. There is a bit if malt sweetness in the middle as well, that gets rounded out on the finish, overall thisnisna well rounded brew
M: on the heavy side of medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice slightly chewy mouthfeel overall...
O: this is a very solid oyster stout, or stout period, nice robust flavors all working nicley together and a bit of salty ocean oysters that add an interesting twist to the character, deffiantly worth grabbin a 4pk.
