Frosty 12 oz can into pint glass

Appearance - Hazy golden, fizzy 1 finger head dissipates to almost nothing, not much lacing.

Smell - Fruity yeast, quite spicy with the advertised cardamom being apparent, slight funk, fairly interesting and unique.

Feel/Taste - Prickly carbonation, medium/heavy body. Flavor starts out very, very medicinal - an herbal minty note, yeasty clove phenols, cardamom spice is fairly strong and cloying, then moves into straight up bandaid/tire rubber funk flavor and slight graininess. Finishes dry and a bit astringent. What seemed kind of intriguing in the smell just doesn't work in the flavor.

Overall - Admittedly, I haven't tried a great deal of saisons, but this one has been the most unappealing thus far. Mouthfeel isn't very crisp and seems disjointed with the weird bandaid/rubber funk and spice flavors. Not a big fan of the astringent finish. It's difficult taking down this sixer.

12 ounce can, canned on 11/14/13. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a hazy gold color with an inch white head. There's a small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like peppery spice, cardamom, bready/grainy malt, and some citrus. It tastes like wheat malt, lemon peel, clove, cardamom, peppery spice and some earthy/floralness. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy enough to drink. I liked this brew, it's worth trying if you've never had it before.

A: Hazy golden with a white ring of head.

S: Peach, tropical fruit, cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon.

T: Tropical fruit, similar spices to the nose, and peach. Maltier on the finish but second sip is fruity all the way through.

M: Medium bodied with the typical saison feel.

O: Flavors are amazing. It could stand to be smoother, and the peach and tropical fruits could be stronger.

12oz : tulip
canned: 11/14/13

Hazy, pale golden yellow with a fizzy, foamy white head with short retention.

Big spicy, Belgian yeast character, herbal, floral notes predominately.

Medium body, low foamy carbonation. Fine, but not quite as crisp as I usually expect in the style.

Surprisingly well done for a saison-in-a-can. As stated above, I would have liked a bit more crispness in the mouthfeel, but it was still pleasant.
