A - poured a murky orange-brown full of sediment. Thick, champagne-like head that dissipates very quickly. Minimal lace
S - earthy must, hint of citrus, floral hop presence, Belgian maltiness.
T - follows the nose, orange rind, biscuit.
M - on the medium side with an uncharacteristically creamy feel.
O - citrusy saison with just enough mustiness.

Undated bottle at 45 degrees into hand washed and dried tulip
Aroma of unspecified spice, light
Head average (5 cm, aggressive pour), tan, frothy, diminishing to irregular ring and broken layer
Lacing poor – few small islands and reefs of tiny bubbles
Body medium brown/orange, slight haze
Flavor is herbal with no hop bitterness found, just a slightly malty backbone. No alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate light, watery, fizzy carbonation

Appearance 3, Aroma 3, Flavor 3, Palate 3.5, Overall 3. An average beer with weak aroma and flavor: to call them “delicate” would be overly generous and optimistic.

The aroma smacks of smoke up front, along with strawberries and blueberries, with some caramel sweetness and breadiness.

The flavor follows with restrained smoke up front as well, along with that fruity berry note, then onto caramel sweetness, but then the beer dries out wonderfully on the finish. A really balanced beer that is intensely fun. A strange combination of saison, smoke, fruity esters.

From a 750 ml bottle to a tulip. Reviewed from notes dated October 18, 2014.

A-The brew is a darker, honey-like color. It is murky too. The head is almost two fingers tall to start and a drops slowly after about two minutes. No lacing left behind. The foam is off-white.

S-This is an odd, but strangely appealing scent. I get grassy, leafy aromas (like dandelions), with hints of lemon, white peppercorn, and medicinal alcohol. Pair that leafy flavor with must white grape and tart plum and you have this beer. It is weird but it works for me.

T-The taste is similar. I get some lightly tangy fruit like plum at first, but the mild sweetness fades quickly and the finish dries out to expose grassy, mildly bitter, leafy, peppery flavors. The finish is long and complex.

M-The feel is medium in heft with a moderately crisp carbonation that is easy to drink.

O-This is an odd one, for sure, but I mostly like it. The dry, leafy, bitter flavors actually seem to pair up well with the oddly fruity flavors that I taste. If it really is made with dandelion, I would believe it.

I purchased this in Brussels, enjoyed chilld in a tulip shared with tenderbranson69.

The color is deep amber with subtle hazed appearance and light colored head with fine bead and good retention. The smell has a strong yeast ester that is fruity with some floral aroma and gentle malt with earthy scent and light caramel element. The feel has a slight tangy yeast and moderately high carbonation level with subtle creamy yeast texture and semi-sweet body with a light floral resinous texture with mild earthy tannin and semi-dry and warming quality in the finish.

The taste brings malt and slight yeast tanginess up front with mild medicinal edge from dandelion and subtle caramel in the malt with spicy and hint of woody accents mid palate with a somewhat tangy yeast flavor which is almost apricot with slight acidity that continues with a mild woody pungent and toasted flavor mixed with light citrus and malt balance that continues into a semi-dry finish. The impression is a very good saison while not the absolute best it is better than most with a fantome house character and the interesting dandelion addition as an extra
