750ml green bottle poured into my Brooklyn tulip...
Pours a densely hazy pale golden orange...even with a somewhat vigorous pour, I only managed to squeeze about a half finger delicate soft white head. The head quickly dissipates leaving a bit of film on top of the beer and a tiny bit of lacing...
From the second I popped the cork I could smell that delicious Fantome aroma. Super sweet in the nose, citric, slightly lemony. Musty with a great barnyard funk mixed in with a bit of Belgian yeasty spiciness...very complex, incredibly appealing...
Fruity, slightly tart with a lemony, citrus taste. Other tropical fruits mix in...then you get a bunch of that musty, funky taste in the background. A bit of a bitter citrus fruit peel taste with some spicy yeast flavors, clove and peppery. Complex and very refreshing...
Medium bodied and very slick/creamy on the palette due to lower than average carbonation....
One of my favorites for sure, tangy, fruity, sweet and refreshing...tastes lighter than an 8% beer and is supremely easy drinking while still being incredibly complex and intriguing...
