Poured into a tulip.
This beer is exceptional!! This is perhaps the first revelation I've had as a beer drinker with a now pretty well developed palette and expectations for every beer. I think I've gotten drunk from joy over how pleasing this beer is. The only downside is that I know hate FernMaster, who only got me one of these. Even though I only asked for one, he should have known better.
A: A cloudy orange-yellow body that is a bit light on the carbonation but does have a nice frothy white head and good retention.
S: Bright and crisp. This goes away from the earthy yeast I usually expect from a saison which are usually a bit more muddled (in a good way though). Bright and bitter hops meld with the slightest hint of yeast and vanilla smooth malts to lay a base. Over it, a cacophony of bright fruits that are too numerous to mention (maybe mangoes and apples).
T: Soooo goood!!! Once again, diminishing the earthier notes for bright hops and fruits, this saison still manages to not betray its namesake and delivers a great earthy yeast that is really essential for rounding out this beer and not making those fruits overpowering. It actually allows those apples and pears and mangoes to be strong and overwhelming without diminishing the impression this beer leaves. Also, I can't forget that a great hop bitterness is present, complimenting those fruits perfectly.
M: Light, crisp and thin with a hint of carbonation. Just fine and dandy.
D: This review is about as close as I've ever come to narrating out a blow job. So yes, it's pretty drinkable.
