Oh, how I love this beer. As I was drinking a bottle tonight (yes a whole 750ml by myself and screw you for asking) I realized that I had never reviewed it. So here we go:
Pours very clear and pale and yellow until the yeast gets agitated, then very hazy and tan. Small head that dies down to a thin ring. The aroma fills your nose with that Belgian funk and then starts tossing spices at you. But nothing overpowering -- everything in its place. Light but not watery in mouthfeel. Somewhat fizzy on the tongue. Complex estery/spicy/dry mix of flavors. Finish reminds me of Islay scotches but without the smoke. Dryness in the finish demands another sip. Fantastically drinkable overall.
If I had to choose one beer to drink forever, it could well be this.
