One of the top three best smelling beers I have had.
The beer pours a hazy brassy gold with a great off white head that, on close inspection, reveals bits and pieces of tan yeast and whatever else went into making this great beer. Moderate lacing and the head levels off to a thin layer over the beer.
Smell is otherworldy. Bouquets of flowers, mown grass, lavender, hops, spices, butter, honey, mint and bubblegum. Wow. My nose is on overload!
The beer hits with a whack of bitterness that is rolled over with a sweeter herbal character that tastes like cream, honey and basil. Odd combination, but tastes great. The beer leaves with a drying sensation and an herbal snap that makes me want more and then gradually segues into a light sweetness.
Mouthfeel gets a little too thin on the edges in my mouth, but carbonation is beautiful! Smooth and slick.
Half the bottle is gone before I know it. I could drink this all night long! Addicting!
