Poured into a tulip. A bit of light foaming up from the bottle.
3.5 A: Murky dark yellow color. One and a half fingers of frothy white head. Retention is a bit below average and a short ring of lacing is left.
4.0 S: This smells a little bit like Sante 12 in that it has a lime fruitiness apparent. It isn't as strong in this year's version though. Lemon is right up there with the lime and apple is underneath. Hay, yeast, rotting wood, forest after a rain, and a bit of wildflower. Mild, well received bready sweetness. Very pleasant with a good mix of fruitiness and funk.
4.5 T: This tastes great! Super complex with well integrated flavors. Lemon, lime, apple fruits again. Wildflowers are much more prominent in the taste. Quite floral actually, much more than the nose suggests. Hay, rotting wood funk, wet outdoors, a bit of basement, and earthy dirtiness. Really well balanced overall with just enough sweetness to complement the floral and herbal notes.
4.0 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. The only thing I'd like would be some spritziness in the carboantion. Nice creaminess though.
4.0 D: Very tasty brew. Fantome is the king of saisons. Even HF can't compete.

Pours slightly cloudy dark gold, head disappears immediately. Smells like lime zest, gueuze funk, strawberry, vanilla. Reminiscent the 2005 Ete I had recently. Taste is straight up Hawaiian Punch! Pineapple, strawberry, a strong lime component, juicy and tart. Bit of creamy vanilla too. Absolutely wonderful mouthfeel - pillowy and effervescent. In mouthfeel almost indistinguishable from what I recall Art b4 had. No hint of skunking (the marijuana flavor some others refer to). Loved this beer. One of the favorite Fantome offerings I've had.

Bottle shared with MrKennedy and danieelol. Reviewed from notes.
Super hazed milky apricot with a moderate white head that abates to a minimal film and collar.
Ultra sharp garden mulch and bright citrus, mainly orange and grapefruit. Intensely untamed and complex floral notes. Crazy definition to the aromas overall.
Similar. Reeds, apricot, ornage rind and wild spicy floral notes.
Medium body with dusty carbonation and a moderately dry, tart finish.
Throughly enjoyable but awesomely messed up beer. In other words, more or less entirely to the Fantome script.

Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Served in a Russian River tulip at Ryan's end of the world tasting.
A - White, ample, foam settles to a thin cap, thick collar, and a few specks of lace. Hazy white peach flesh body.
S - Initially heavy with dank marijuana, herbs, and perhaps a touch of skunk - I shudder to think what Dany 'dry-hopped' this with. However, as it warms it opens up and fills out with some nice Saison malt flavors, evoking pear, tropical fruits, and a bit of hand lotion. Really crazy and surprisingly enjoyable.
T - The taste is a bit more stock Saison - pale malts, peppery farmhouse yeast, apple skins, stone fruits, a bit of hand lotion. There isn't really the crazy herbal and dank flavor from the aroma - perhaps a faint hint in the finish.
M - Pleasant carbonation, medium body, lightly grainy texture, and a dry finish. If this is really 7%, there's no trace of it - I've given up on trusting Fantôme ABVs to be honest.
D - I enjoyed this, although the aroma is quite odd. Thankfully it's supported by a base Saison that is solid, enjoyable, and could be consumed in volume. Liked this a tiny bit more than Santé 16!

Pour is a very hazy light orange with creamy white head. Nose is very marijuana like, specifically the aroma given off from nugs in a vaporizer. Also notes of cream up from and some juicy citrus in back. Taste is good, mashed cream and a touch of mint with a fair bit of orange citrus, fleshy, in back. Body is decent, full bodied and crisp highly carbonated finish and fairly dry.
