Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of grain, honey, white grape juice, grape jelly, earth, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour white grape juice and grape jelly flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Serving type: bottle.

750ml bottle poured into a couple of matching Fantome tulips. Drank this one immediately after the blonde version. The brew appears a hazy orange color with yellowish highlights around the edges. An off-white cap more than 2 fingers strong fades to a thin line around the perimeter of the glass. A swirl revives a finger that is slow to fade.

The aroma is very tropical, fruity and tart smelling. Some classic Fantome funk and lemony suggestions of lacto. Overall very clean smelling and enjoyable to the extent that it makes me salivate.

The flavor is as tart, fruity and tropical as you might imagine based off the aroma. Hints of strawberry and pineapple are mid-palate before getting more lemony with hints of lacto/yogurt. A maltiness is present providing flavors of caramel and vanilla.

This is a medium to fuller bodied brew that is creamy in the feel despite a modest amount of carbonation. This is exceptionally fruity and complex. Overall pretty rediculously drinkanle with no alcohol impact. This is the best Fantome I have had in recent memory. I want more.

Bottle labeled as Le Pietrain Ambre shared by Richard. Thanks!

A: The beer pours a hazy orange in color with a small white head.

S: There is a lot of citrus to this one. A bit of sweet malt along with some more traditional funk notes of grass, yeast, and lemon zest. Some other interesting aromas of white pepper and Smarties.

T: Definitely some Smarties candies. A nice touch of lemon zest as well as some sweeter citrus such as oranges and tangerines. A bit of sweet bread and a light yeastiness. Just a touch spice/pepper.

M: Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation.

O: Maybe a bit on the sweet side for what I'm used to with Fantome, but I enjoyed this one.

Big big thanks to Kyle sharing!

Bottle does say Amber

App- This was a dark yellow with a nice one finger head in the glass. Slides gently with a couple bubbles on the side of the glass.

Smell- Yes it's a Fantome all the way. Yeasty, damp and a touch of soft hay.

Taste- A little bit of hay starts this one off with some trailing yeast notes and the moves into a more full on fresh cut grass. A little bit of damp fruits brings up the rear on this one. A little bit of a blended amber/saison note with a malt forward flavor.

Mouth- Medium bodied and medium carbonated almost a high carb feel. Nice residual yeasty funk on the tongue.

Drink- Very damn tasty rarer Fantome. This was a lighter beer with some softer assertive flavors. I don’t know how Kyle got this one but glad I was there to try it.

Thanks for sharing! Snifter.

A: Dark amber with a fast fading white head.

S: Prominent floral aromatics accompany pepper-like phenols and big citrus notes: lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Earth meets hay and grass.

T: Soft tartness up front with ripe apple and juicy orange and lemon notes. Piquant and dry with restrained earth. Finishes floral, fruity, and lightly tart.

M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation.

Overall: Excellent. I enjoyed this about as much as the original Pietrain.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep dark golden color ale with a super large white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of light rustic malt notes with some lightly funky yeast ester and some bready notes. Taste is also a mix between some bready malt with some rustic notes some lightly funky ester and a very subtle tart notes at the end. Body was lighter then most Fantome beers but still quite full compared to the competition with some great carbonation. This is a good beer form a brewery that has a tendency to be all over the place dome time though a lot les unique then some of their other offerings.

Appearance: Golden amber with a small off-white head

Smell: Hay, lemongrass, typical fantome malt/yeast

Taste: Very light with a touch of earthy must, touch of lemon and citrus. A hare above the regular offering.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body, typical fantome

Overall: Good one, just a touch above the standard fantome saison

Thanks Matt, nearing the end of the epic Fantome reviewing session that has occupied my afternoon. Shared by Matt at a recent >20 Fantome beer tasting in the woods, this was one of the last ones of the night, Fantome tulip used on this one as well. Oh yes, it was.

Beer is amber, thin off white head, minimal lacing, low retention, moderate to low carbonation.

Mild lemongrass aroma in the nose, some malt, minor yeast.

Beer is super light with this great midpalate earthiness. Decent beer, served side-by-side with the other one of these, sweet, mild malt, mild funk. I'd have it again.

peach colored amber and a huge white head that reached nearly two inches high an never really relented leaving a ton of lacing on the sides.

aroma is very light, pears and apples, touches of banana, clove, hints of grain, but light, almost non existent at points. flavor was about the same, very light, but nice, lots of light fruits, tons of grain and a definte yeast presence that seemed to build over time. just seemed to need that one last pop to push it into the excellent category. still super sessionable and really a nice
