750ml corked and capped bottle poured into a matching Fantome glass. The cork comes out a little breakage but the brew appears a clear copper color bubbly white head.

The smell contains minerals almost akin to a pocket full of pennies with a hint of musty mushrooms and a little damp dirty earthy to round things out.

This tastes sweet and cidery with a tartness yet its crisps with some corky oxidation.

This is light in body with modest carbonation. Lets not kid ourselves, this is a 18 year old saison and it tastes like it. Not the best and not nearly the worst either but fun to try lined up against the rest in the Sante series.

Santé vertical 1-19. Thanks Stakem!

Orange copper body, slightly hazy with a soapy off-white collar. Aromas include apple, apple cider, musty basement funk. This held up well. Light oxidation.

Bottle at Fantome-a-thon 2012

A golden orange color with a small head. Decently sweet with a definite oxidation to the aroma. Quite a bit of candy/sugar and a bit of a faded cherry aroma, leaning toward cherry skins. The flavor is a bit more complex and robust with a solid cherry character and some nice grassy funk. Still fairly sweet with some sugar, bread, and sweet fruit. Lots of citrus notes on the palate as well, mostly lemon and orange.
