33cl bottle. Pale yellow color witha nice, white head. Excellent tripel ale, with a nice aroma of hops and spices, also some pepper. A full flavor but also with a nice and dominant hop flavor that stays in the mouth for quite while. Willdefinitely drink this beer again.

330ml Bottle (£2.89 from Beers of Europe website):
Orange amber with a finger-sized, bubbly white head that is a solid white colour and settles as a fine, patchy lacing on the surface.

Yeast with touches of spice and a light sourness with light fruits that include some pears, apple and a hint of citrus. The beer seems quite lively on the nose with some further fruits, a little bit of banana and some more spice as well and a few hops towards the end to round things off with.

Spice and yeast to start off with along with some fruits typical of the style; some apple, pear and grapes as well. There is some citrus flavours and a touch of sweetness that follows along with some subtle hops and some floral notes.

Smooth and quite dry with a slightly spicy and sweet mouthfeel that goes down easy with the alcohol content pretty well hidden. The body is a light medium and there is a noticeable carbonation to the beer although its not gassy or overdone.

This one was a slight disappointment when compared to the high standards set by previous Belgian strong ales that I've tried over the past few years and I was definitely expecting a lot more from this one. Whilst not a bad beer it wasn't one I particularly enjoyed, nor one I'd pick up again sadly.

Pours a cloudy orange amber and despite a careful pour, had lots of small white particulates floating around, looks kind of cool. Two finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast (reminiscent of saison yeast), apple juice, stone fruit, light citrus and cardamom. Flavor is dry, almost champagne like light fruit, clove, light stone fruit, grassy and slightly earthy. Finish is bone dry with a long lingering spicy, non-hop bitterness. Medium bodied with hints of creaminess. A very nicely made dry tripel that has the traditional spiciness and light fruit, but shares some character with saisons, probably because of the dryness in the finish. Nicely done. Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip.

Appearance : golden blond color, with white foamy head.
Smell : fruity and hoppy aromas.
Taste & mouthfeel : sweet malty flavors, light bitter finish.
Drinkability : a good beer in the Belgian style Triple.
