Poured on tap into my Club Med cup, and occasionally a 32 oz. 'beach cup', this brew pours a hazed golden straw in color. A rich and somewhat resilient cap of white foam leaves lots of sticky lacing.

Nose is of pale malts exclusively. No adjuncts can be found and the beer offers a thick grainy pils character. Hops however, never made it into the kettle.

More simple coarse bready notes in flavor and the neutral texture carried forward to the feel. A rather basic and minimalist approach to a brew, and likely all malt in my experience. Still better than many an Adjunct brew, but the lack of hops on the nose and feel keep this from being a go to beer. I actually preferred the Turks Light over this by the pool, or the Amber with dinner. Bit too coarse and bready overall.

Appears as a normal lager, decent color when poured. Slightly bubbly but the overpowering smell of a hair-perm chemicals was extremely offensive. Very sweet, with harsh metallic finish. Tolerated it with a lime wedge. Otherwise practically undrinkable.

Franks this on the beach at grand Turks and thought it was a pretty good lager. Better than bud

This is an addendum to my previous review. I was really looking forward to re-loving this beer and sharing it with my brother in law. It was good, but it was different. I would not change any of my notes from my previou review, I would only add that there was a significant amount of watered-downedness to this brew. I was a little disappointed.

Had to try the "local beer" on vacation. Drank from glass bottle. Taste is generic, light and inoffensive. A little sweetness from the adjunct grains, and not much else going on. Light on hops. Some metallic (salty?) taste on the finish. Not a terrible brew after being out in the sun all day -- better than a Bud, better than a Corona.

Light, refreshing, crisp, clean.
It's not Corona - it's not supposed to be.
It's not Carib - it's not supposed to be.
It's Turks' Head.
No heavy aftertaste, no heavy head, no bitterness.
The white sands of T&C have the domain of this pour to themselves.
Would love to have this up North of the 44th, but sadly, cannot.
Great with a wedge of lemon, and the local conch-fritters.

Don't like? Don't drink.
Like? Drink.
Simple.

Had this a few times while in the Turks and Caicos...

A: Pours from the bottle a light, clear, gold with a minimal white head which leaves no lace; while this isn't the best looking beer, I suppose its a pretty good example of the style.

S: Not much; maybe some wet paper / graininess; maybe a touch of corn.

T: Not much to it; very light grainy malts and some dry, slightly bitter hops on the end; kind of tastes like Bud and Corona mixed together.

M: Light-bodied; high carbonation; a good thirst quencher.

O: Not the best looking, smelling or tasting lager I've had, but it is pretty darn refreshing down in the Turks and Caicos; for that reason, I'm giving its overall score a little bump - plus, I'd rather have the local stuff than Bud Light, Corona, etc.

Geez, I know I reviewed this on here before, about a week ago and it's gone. That last one had a major mango thing going on. This one poured with a decent, thick, foamy, white head that lasts a while and some lace. Color is a clear yellow with lots of large bubble trails. Aroma is fruit and wet grain. Flavor has almost no malt, lots of wet grain, neutral sweetness, a little bitter and some tang. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Finish is like flavor, not much like beer at all and hasts too long. Hope this review is recorded because thankfully I wont be able to have another.

A: thin head on a mustard yellow clear body.

S: minimal aroma. Mostly typical pale malts of an adjunct lager with a musty/bitter note.

T: grand turk is a nice island but they can keep their lager.

M: light body and high carbonation. Surpisingly dry finish which greatly affects drinkability/refreshing character  which is usually the only redeeming quality of this genre.

Overall: always glad to try new beers. This one will likely have my lowest review however

12oz clear bottle served in a pint glass

A - Pours a golden pale color with a thick bright white head. Very active carbonation along with stellar head retention. Great looking beer.

S - Pale malts, grassy hops, light cereal grains, chalky yeast.

T - Like the nose, pale malts, slightly grainy, has a light cereal sweetness to it. Grassy hops add some bitterness, slightly salty on the finish.

M - Full carbonation, body has to heft to it but its light and clean.

I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Having this fresh, im sure makes a big difference. It's light, refreshing, and actually not offensive. I've definatley had worse lagers this week.

One thing I enjoy about traveling is that I get to try beer that probably isn't available in Pennsylvania. I was pleasantly surprised when I was on vacation in Turks and Caicos to find that they have beer brewed on the island. This might be the only place you'll find it since the island is so small that not a lot make it out to the states. This beer is very much what I hoped for. It poured yellow with little head. Because it's so hot there, I was glad to have a beer that was easy to drink and cooled me off. It was nearly like having a cold glass of water for $6.00 except after 10 or so while sitting in the sun...you feel a little ...off. The beer was very week in flavor and reminded me a lot of Corona. All it need was for someone to jamb a lime in the bottle. The beer wasn't that good but I guarantee that if you're lucky enough to visit this paradise island, you'll drink a ton of this beer and like it. do youself a favor and stay at the Ocean Club East.
