Pours into my glass a deep amber with a quarter inch of white bubbles atop the brew. Aromas of lightly toasted malt dosed with some caramel. Citrus hints are there along with some grassy scents. A touch of a sour twang as well.
First sip brings lightly toasted malts with a touch of biscuit and caramel in there as well. Citric, grassy hops meld into the prevailing malt body of the brew. Flows down with a touch of sourness again on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with good carbonation. Pretty straightforward. Overall, not a bad brew but not something I would drink on the regular personally. Nice and malty. Thanks to BeerFMAndy.

Serving: From a keg into plastic cup
Served: 26 July 2014
Appearance: Can't comment TOO much about this one since I unfortunately had to use an opaque plastic cup for this one. However, it poured with a great creamy beige head that actually left lacing down the side of the plastic cup, so that gets huge props.
Smell: Smelled light and 'beery', more or less, with a soft hint of some nutty and toffee malts and just the slightest herbal hoppy funk.
Taste: Really a great amber lager. Soft malt flavors add some nice character, as the malts bring hints of light nuttiness and soft caramel. Just enough hop presence to be noticeable, but barely so. The hops are mostly floral and slightly herbal. Good lager-like breadiness on the back end. Finishes sweet.
Mouthfeel: Great carbonation makes this one superbly drinkable.
Overall: I put down three full solo cups of this one- it's a marvelously drinkable beer that paired excellent with the pulled pork barbecue that was being served at the party. Would highly recommend for craft lager lovers or new converts to craft beer, as it is an approachable style for all beer drinkers and one that really hits the style on the head. Would recommend.

LOOK: Pours a light brown or dirty copper color with a frothy head that has good retention. Some lace is left behind on the glass and the brew exhibits decent clarity.
SMELL: Bready, hoppy, soft caramel, malty. As it warms the malts come out more with more toffee, brown sugar and caramel.
TASTE: Firm malt notes with plenty of caramel and toffee, Bitterness is mild and the hop character is leafy, herbal and maybe a slight lemony citrus. Kind of has a noble thing going on. Agreeable amber lager that reminds me alot of an English pale ale for some reason, but this is far more bready.
FEEL: Medium bodied with a fuzzy mouthfeel from a high level of carbonation. Finishes with a bit of malt and bitterness rinsing the palate.
OVERALL: A good American Red Lager here from Lakefront that would not be out of place in my fridge. Malty, bready lager beer that drinks easy and has pretty solid flavors.
