A: Pale corn coloring, pristine clarity, with a light but rapid rise rise of carbonation. The head was soapy, scarce, quick to dissipate with no calling card on the glass.

S: Nose was very sweet, buttery grains, not much after that.

T: Flavor was sweet buttery grains, soft flowery hops, light spiciness and a touch of honey sweetness. Light orange citrusy-orange hints, some hay and lemon-flowery.

M: Medium bodied, somewhat crisp, but not tongue grabbing.

O: Overall easy flavor but leans way to much on the sweet and buttery side limiting drinkability. Not true to typical style. I would pass on this one per style.

Longtime favorite, first-time review -- surprising.

I've been enjoying the beers from this small brewery for a very long time. Got my hands on some fresh Klisch and been enjoying it.

A -- Clear, deep gold with a persistent, creamy off-white head.

S -- Mellow spicy hops balanced by yeasty, bready malt.

T -- Lightly sweet, bready malts up front with a good kick of spicy, lightly bitter noble hops in the finish and through the aftertaste. There's also a nice blend of light citrus and bready malts in the aftertaste that's very appetizing.

M -- Mouthfeel is soft and sort of creamy with a light-medium to medium body.

O -- This beer reminds me of a hopped-up Helles. It's not quite as light, dry and crisp as the typical German Pils, but it's also spicier and more bitter -- even a touch citric -- than a Munich Helles. The "crossover" makes for a delicious beer.

Looking at the ratings for this beer, I'd say that freshness is definitely the key to enjoying this Pilsner.

DATE TASTED: November 30, 2013... GLASSWARE: standard pilsner...OCCASION: Game PSU's finale a memorable one--well done, boys!... APPEARANCE: slight amber golden body that sports methodical bubbles; white two-finger head settles to a thin splash; zero lacing as the glass drains--not encouraging... AROMA: baker's dough wafts pleasantly; some floral, fruity esters round out an otherwise nondescript presence... PALATE: smooth, bubbly and softly bodied for a lager--sessionable for sure, yet effeminate...TASTE: apple, pear and thin malts make for a lager with some flavor; rather underwhelming, considering its fellow beers in the mixpack...OVERALL: high expectations unmet, but perhaps not all brews from Lakefront will be flagship offerings...not a fitting celebratory glass for such a stunning upset as Penn State served Wisconsin...

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Pours light medium gold with very little foam. Active bubbles at first. Straw taste, light lemon. Same as the nose. Mild hop. Even keeled, light bitter throughout. Grain-y. Citrus in the background. Nice smooth pils.

Wildly different from other Pils, more body, more odd flavors, I opened an IPA for my family and this for me wanting a light brew, and for a moment, I didnt know what I was drinking. But then, malty, bready, crackerly brew got to me and I enjoyed it. 100% agree w reviewer who said "turn it into a BLONDE ALE", that's more what it is.

A - Pours a slight hazed, golden/yellow color with a foamy, two-finger white head. No lacing.

S - Subtle, not much here, but smells of grains and sweet floral notes.

T - It tasted fairly sweet, lots of bread. Was very good with cheese and mozzarella tomatoes with basil. Would be good with salad and as a pre-dinner beer, which was the case tonight. Included light grassy hops that made the finish nice.

M -Not right for a pils, more medium weight body. But I liked it, just change the style please.

O - I'd drink another. Might want to try. Reviewers overly ding this beer for being off-style, but it's a nice middle of the road blonde ale with an appetizing finish.

It's original, not cliché.
