Bright, smoggy golden. A good amount of chill haze. While not as clear as it could be, it throws an impressive white, creamy head with gobs of sticky lace.
Solidly balanced aroma of bready malt and spicy saaz hops. A nice prelude to what is in store.
Starts off with fresh baked sourdough notes. Becomes dryer and more cracker-like. The hops enter at this point and wipe the mouth clean of any residual breadiness with some divinely prickly, spicy hops. Not hugely intense, but effective and tasty. Leaves a slightly dusty aftertaste.
Medium bodied with full carbonation. Pretty substancial for a pils. The relative heft may hinder the drinkability to a small extent, but makes it more memorable.
Very solid per the style.

12 oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass. pours a light amber color with a few fingers of white head that is frothy and leaves no lacings.

aroma is lightly malty, with lager yeast present as well. mild hops are in the background as well. only the basics here, which lends to a good pilsner.

taste is lightly malty and sweet up front, with a touch of hops on the finish. aftertaste is of mild sweetness, without much flavor, maybe a note of hops in there as well. hop bitterness is not strong here, giving the brew a pleasant smoothness.

mouthfeel is light bodied with a decent texture, and a slight bite from carbonation. overall rather smooth, despite the bite.

drinkability is great. this is a light lager that is crisp and refreshing, and one of the better examples of the style. mild flavors and a smooth profile. cheers!

Klisch pours a clear golden color with a bubbly white head. Active carbonation is present, and rings of lace develop down the glass. Very nice. Nose is dominated by grassy, earthy Saaz hops, although mild yeast and caramel-like aromas are present, too. Taste is an amalgam of bready, earthy, spicy flavors. The balance between the Saaz hop character and the bready malt is very nice. Notes of lemon rind are also present. This is a light-bodied, crisp and flavorful pilsner. Refreshing and quite drinkable, this is an excellent thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

This brew pours a bright gold color with a ton of visible carbonation. The head is one finger in height, thick and dense. The aroma is grassy and floral. The taste has the same grassy and floral notes that the aroma has, but they are all a little less vibrant. The mouthfeel is light bodied wth perfect carbonation. Overall, I haven't enjoyed a pilsener as much as this in a long time. This is a very nice brew that I will certainly drink again.

Poured a bright golden color with moderate white puffy head. No lacing present.
Smell is light and fruity.
Taste also shows a nice fruity presence with a very nice sweetish note at the finish.
Taste retention is better than average, with a clean refreshing finish.
A very well done beer with perfect drinkability.

This is a fine Bohemian pilsner brewed in Milwaukee. The European style is very evident in this beer -- not an American pilsner.

The beer came poured in a pint glass, it was a very clear and golden body with no haze whatsoever. A slight white head formed, but this reduced rather quickly.

The aroma was a very nice blend of Saaz hops and malt, not as spicy as I would like, but still very nice.

The taste is a very deep and mellow malt base with a nice finish of Saaz hops. This beer also had a very full body, which made the malt taste seem even smoother.

I really enjoyed this beer on tap, more so than I can remember when tasting it from a bottle.

Poured out of the bottle and into a pint glass (from the brewery) this golden, almost straw colored beer has cloudy appearance and herbal hop aroma. A lot of carbonation with a lot of foam. It isn't assertively hoppy for a pilsner, but has pleasant herbal hop flavor. Not too much bitterness. Very smooth, fresh malt backbone making for a nice smooth, medium-bodied beer.

The beer is actually a little hazy. Not right for a pilsner. Nice straw golden hue though, and a nice white frothy head. Really nice blend of spicy noble hops and pilsner malt on the nose with an additional subtle perfumey/minty aroma. There's a nice little bitter bite to this beer. I like it. There's a definite European slant to this pilsner. The taste really appeals to me. Good pils malt base. Various floral, herbal and spicy hop notes dance on top of that. And a lingering bitterness puts the capper on this full bodied lager. The hop qualities really appeal to me in this one. Another nice offering from Lakefront.

12 oz bottle poured into a Pilsner glass.
Bottled Apr Wk 3 notched on label.

A - Bright golden yellow and shimmering with clarity, Klisch produces a nice thick white head. Sustained retention leaves some spots of sticky lacing on the glass.

S - Sure as shit, Klisch smells like a genuine Czech Pilsner! Sweet pilsner malts are at the forefront while floral noble hops add balance and an interesting nuances to this clean, inviting lager.

T - Crisp and light malts with a delicate honey-like sweetness cross the palate followed by an ever-so-slight hint of light white grape on the finish. A small but detectable light floral hop characteristic rounds this beer out.

M - The soft water is a bit slick on the palate, but this pilsner has great body. Not watery at all, it's medium bodied with an overarching sweetness that's balanced by hop bitterness and dryness on the finish.

O - Going down with no complaints, Klisch is one hell of a refreshing and well-balanced pilsner. Round from start to finish, subtle Saaz noble hop notes gently back up the sweet pilsner malt beautifully. Supremely drinkable (we used to do boots of this when I had it on tap at home) Klisch Pilsner bridges the gap between no-brain lawnmower lager and nearly perfectly brewed definition of a style.
