This unique stout combines the flavor of roasted malts and Milwaukee's renowned Fuel Cafe coffee. Pours a deep, dark color with a beautiful creamy tan head.
Coffee aromas dominate the nose, with a background of roasted grain. The fine balance of mild hops, the gentle acidity of choice coffee and the full mouth feel from roasted malt barley make this an unforgettable brew.

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours dark brown with a billowing head. Aroma and flavor feature dark roasted malts, coffee, milk chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is the best part about the beer - moderately carbonated, full-bodied, and creamy. IMO this is an excellent, relatively low-abv coffee stout.
I don't understand why this gets low ratings. Based on ratings I was afraid that I was in for a thin, bitter stout with some off flavor, probably sour/astringent coffee. Thankfully that was not the case at all.

L - Very dark brown. Appears more or less clear. Medium-tall brown head - good persistence.
S - Sweet toasty malt and coffee.
T - Pretty straight-forward. Sweet malts and coffee, a hint of dark toast.
F - Medium.
O - A pretty mild stout with coffee. Maybe not one of the best, but not a bad drink.

12oz bottle. Label has BEST BY: 22FEB20.
Deep brown colored body. One finger of beige colored head. Leaves behind some specks of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, plus a coffee and cream mix.
Taste has a quick bite of roasted malts and then a weak coffee and cream mix test the palate. Has a quick drop off, with a bit of coffee in the after taste.
Thinner mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
Okay, but rather one note and thin.

Easy to drink stout, not a ton of flavor in this. It’s ok, not great or bad.

Pours a dark black with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of coffee. Taste is smooth. Coffee flavor stands out. Good mouth feel. No bitterness.

"Best by 3/16/22"; drank 11/19/21 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big tan head; nice tree-rung lace.
Medium roast coffee bean, fresh earth & faint chocolate syrup notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Light roast coffee bean & chocolate syrup flavors up front; mild cream & faint fresh earth notes on the finish.
A decent coffee stout, but this ain't gonna blow your mind.

With an aggressive pour into the glass, I had two full fingers of tan foam that receded to a thin layer, then after a couple of minutes just a bit of lacing. A very dark brown, but I could watch the carbonation when I held the glass to the light.
The smell was faint, a little roasted malts.
The taste is a nice roasted coffee with a bit of chocolate, a little sweetness, followed by the dryness from the coffee flavor.
The feel is on the thin side for a stout and a very slight fizzle from the carbonation.
I like the taste, maybe it is a bit better as it warms. I like the 6.4 ABV.

Bottled on 12/21/2018. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours almost black. The initial half finger of light mocha-colored head dissipated rapidly leaving only a trace of lacing inside the glass. Not much to the nose: roasted malt and a whiff of freshly-brewed coffee but it's not nearly as fragrant as I'd hoped. The taste opens with more roasted barley than coffee. The barley provides sweetness and the coffee is fairly acidic. There is also a nutty char. It is medium in body and light in carbonation and the 6.4% ABV is high enough to give it substance without impacting the drinking. Overall, Fuel Cafe is an acceptable stout but could use more of the advertised coffee in the taste.

12oz bottle bb 11/24/18 poured into a perfect pint glass at fridge temp 6.4% ABV. The beer pours dense very dark brown with chocolate tan colored head. The head recedes to a few bubbles and a pencil thin ring. The aroma is baker's chocolate and cold brewed coffee. The taste is dark roasted malt and coffee, although watered down. The roasty bitterness is very strong for the body and is prevalent throughout. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied, adequately carbonated and dry in the finish. Overall, ok. I am rating this as an American stout, but it needs a little more body, feel and depth of taste to score higher.
