Best by June 30, 2015

pale straw yellow, semi hazy. One finger head.

Smell is grassy with some yeasty undertones. Coriander for sure.

Taste is earthy, dry grass. Some light citrus fruit. Coriander is there too.

Light body, medium carb. Finishes clean.

Not a whole lot of experience with this style but it's pretty good. Surprised to see the average rating. Maybe I should try more wits if there's that many better ones out there

Just not a fan of white beers. I gave this one a shot, but just not for me as they remind me of watered down beer

Pours from the bottle a cloudy gold with a bit of a bubbly white head. The aroma is mainly coriander with some malt graininess. Coriander, cloves and malt carry the taste, with just a touch of citrus. Medium light mouth with enough carbonation to give it some crispness. Nice enough little Belgian wit.

12 oz bottle into a teku.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy straw color. The head is two fingers high and white in shade. Very creamy and thick in texture, it has solid retention as well. Minor amounts of lacing stick to the glass. The haziness of this brew is quite attractive. (3.75)

Smell: Coriander is the dominant note. Luckily, it stops just short of smelling like deviled ham the way a few wheat ales can. I'm also getting notes of vanilla cream and wheat - no orange peel, though. Eh, it gets the job done. (3.25)

Taste: Initially, I pick up some creamy malt. This will give way to a slightly spicy finish, with distant hints of orange peel. It's a basic witbier, no more, no less. Still, it's balanced nicely. (3.25)

Mouthfeel: Soft at first, it dries nicely on the back end. That's pretty much exactly how a witbier should feel on the palate, so no complaints here. Well carbonated, which is also style appropriate.

Overall: This isn't much of a reviewing beer - it's more of a 'just drink it' beer. While it doesn't make me wax poetically, it's easy to drink and refreshing (exactly as a witbier should be). Hey, it's way better than something like Blue Moon! (3.5)

3.41/5: Organic? Whatever, it's pretty tasty regardless

Crisp, refreshing beer. Lightly carbonated. Would be great for a summers day. Nice wheat flavor with subtle citrus and spice.

Pours a murky golden-yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Tiny dots of sediment are seen floating around in the beer after the pour. Smell is of grain, spice, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly tart peach, citrus zest, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an interesting peach like flavor that I wasn't expecting from this one.

Serving type: bottle.
