Notes from 09/07/10
A:a semi hazy orange color with a fingers worth of head that falls fairly quick, leaves a decent lacing down the glass.
S:Pretty strong aroma of grapefruit and citrus hops, very pleasant smell suprisely for the price of the single bottle that I picked up.
T:Very mislead, the taste was not at all what the nose on to believe, fine but just not intense as I thought it was going to be. First hit on a more of an earthy tone and then followed up by some pale malts that linger on the palate with a hint of bite from the hops.
M:All right medium body with solid carbonation throughout.
D:I thought by first sip that I found a really nice treat but ended up being just an o.k. brew. Smells really nice but then throughout drinking it seems like the pale malts (I'm guessing) just took over the whole mouth feel. All right to try but probably not one I will pick up again.

A- Very nice copper-amber color with some real nice thickness, not clear at all. Very appetizing beer.
S- Smooth blend of citrus and hops. The citrus overwhelms the hops just a bit.
T- Again, the citrus is a bit overtaking of the hops, but a real smooth blend. It has a mild sour taste that lingers with the after taste.
M- It's a happy beer, simple mix, the everyman's IPA. Much like Milwaukee, not over the top, but impressing for some difficult to understand reason. I very personable beer. No one attribute makes this beer, it's just a very good blend that isn't made for everyone, like some IPAs.It's fresh, and opening.
Overall, being from Milwaukee I'm a bit biased, but honestly say it's not my bottom bitch. I love everything Lake Front offers, and this is a staple beer for me I can pick up and enjoy anytime, very versatile. This beer can fit into any outing, party or situation. Great outdoors, fine sittin' around, goes great with pizza, is nice with a fancy pasta...probably not a steak but whatever...I would suggest this as a top tier IPA for anyone.
