12oz bottle picked up as a single. ive overlooked this decently local IPA for some time now. drank from my samuel adams perfect pint glass.
A- a hearty pour yields a dark copper colored body with a slight haze to it. on top sits a small bright white head that lasts for an acceptable amount of time before falling. small spots of lacing are left behind.
S- the nose is hoppier than i was expecting. lots of pine and citric (lemon, grapefruit, and a touch of orange) hops. a little bit of floral notes also. caramel malt moves in towards the back of the nose and adds some sweetness.
T- the taste starts out with the caramel malts that i could smell which lays a foundation of sweetness to try and balance the hops that are coming next. mostly grapefruit and pine, with some lemon notes as well.
M- the body is a solid medium. the carbonation level seems about right. no real warming from the alcohol.
O- this is a pretty solid IPA for an affordable price. i think a sixer is $8.99. ill have to work this into rotation when times are tight. i dont know why ive put off trying this for so long.

A- Very nice copper-amber color with some real nice thickness, not clear at all. Very appetizing beer.
S- Smooth blend of citrus and hops. The citrus overwhelms the hops just a bit.
T- Again, the citrus is a bit overtaking of the hops, but a real smooth blend. It has a mild sour taste that lingers with the after taste.
M- It's a happy beer, simple mix, the everyman's IPA. Much like Milwaukee, not over the top, but impressing for some difficult to understand reason. I very personable beer. No one attribute makes this beer, it's just a very good blend that isn't made for everyone, like some IPAs.It's fresh, and opening.
Overall, being from Milwaukee I'm a bit biased, but honestly say it's not my bottom bitch. I love everything Lake Front offers, and this is a staple beer for me I can pick up and enjoy anytime, very versatile. This beer can fit into any outing, party or situation. Great outdoors, fine sittin' around, goes great with pizza, is nice with a fancy pasta...probably not a steak but whatever...I would suggest this as a top tier IPA for anyone.
