Lakefront IPA pours a hazy copper with a decent head that doesn't stick around too long. The aroma is grapefruity citrus with some orange, and some sweet, caramel malt. The flavor is bitter upfront, with some nice herbal citrusy flavor. The caramel malt sweetness is quickly followed by an odd, almost sour finish. Overall this is a solid IPA, but the weird sour finish detracts a bit.

I got a bottle of this via trade with toblerone. Thanks Toby. Poured into my Sam Adams perfect pint glass.

A: A medium golden orange color with a one finger white head. Nice lacing.

S: Citric hop notes mixed with some floral and herbal tones. Biscuit and fresh bread show some sweetness on the nose.

T: Citrus hops come out first with grapefruit, lemon, orange and get mixed with a decent amount of herbal and floral hoppiness. The hops get mixed with a medium bready biscuit like malt bill that keeps the beer somewhat balanced with some sweetness. Finish turns back to the citrus notes with some bitterness. Nice beer.

M: A bit thin actually with no alcohol notes to it. Nice carbonation.

O: A nice IPA that leans on the hoppier side of the spectrum, but it never quite goes full on hops. A very enjoyable beer that I would be glad to drink anytime. Very easy drinking and enjoyable.

This beer is a nice IPA, but not an award winner. Still, really glad I tried it.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass, bottled middle of February. Pours a cloudy reddish orange, with a half inch of white head, that leaves a ring of lacing. Smell is tangerine, pineapple, grass, and some grapefruit. Taste is all of that very balanced, with citrus being the dominant flavor. Body is medium, plenty of carbonation, a little dryness, and very drinkable. This is a solid IPA.
