Pours a huge, dense, off-white head that has really nice head retention and laces like nuts. A really nice floral hop aroma in the nose; very aromatic. Notes of clover honey. Jesus this smells amazing. Radiant, golden color. Starts with a slight grapefruit flavored hop bitterness, touches of flowers, and greenness. Builds into a medium bitterness RIGHT as biscuity malt starts to show through. Builds in maltiness while the hop bitterness lingers. Finish is lingering citrus rind bitterness over biscuits.
I tried this years ago when it came out, and it was so-so. Apparently the hops from Wisconsin have improved drastically, because this is now absolutely fantastic.
It's wonderfully hoppy (especially good showcase of floral hops), but the malty lager underneath is no slouch. This has a great blend of malt and hop, overall. Quite excellent.
I should note that my bottle is just over 4 weeks old at this point.

Summer is great for lagers...and this one is exceptional. It is a hazy, golden straw color. The head is white, firm, and foamy. Clean, pale malt aroma, backed with a serious herbal Novak hop scent. The taste is clean, with lots of pale malt. Medium in body and warmth is present due to the abv. This is a very rewarding brew.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Gotta give it up for the increased local flavor, even if that flavor ain't local to me. This stuff pours a clear sunset amber topped by a finger of off-cream foam. The nose comprises buttery biscuit, light orange zest, and a hint of grass. The taste brings in more of the same, with a diminished butter component and a dull grassy bitterness pervading. A hint of dry wheat remains behind just in case. It's one note, played loudly and discordantly. The body is a straight medium, with a light moderate carbonation and drying finish. Overall, though a good idea and a laudable philosophy, the end product just doesn't do it for me, especially with that blunt bitterness that envelops all.

Two fingers of head on a hazy medium straw colored body. Looks great.
It smells like caramel, grain and pine. Nice combination.
The taste has a good pine bitterness to it, but the caramel sweetness balances it out. A nice profile.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation and medium body.
Nice job Wisconsin.
