A deep burnt reddish orange in color with a 1.5 finger light khaki, fluffy head on top that dissapates slowly to a sea foamy sheet. Leaves some sticky lacing as you drink. Grapefruity citrus and a touch of earthy resin are the most dominant hop aromas with a mild backing of caramel malt. Hint of skunkweed. Not crazy aromatic, but nice enough.
Bold hoppy taste with a bit more of the grains coming out than in the aroma, balancing the somewhat resiny and earthy hops. Grapefruit also comes to mind with its sharp bitterness. Definitely in that family of citrus, and it meshes well with the resins. Leaves with a long finish and lingering bitter aftertaste that is not necessarily unpleasant, but not the best part of this beer either. The caramel in the malts does a nice job with the balance and makes for pretty good drinkability. There is a toastiness to the malt as well that mingles nicely with the hops and offers another dimension to the beer. The body is maybe a touch light for the boldness of the hops, but not too distractingly so.
Overall, good beer. Enough for hopheads, but balanced enough for an easy and enjoyable drink. I'd get it again.

Lakefront's best selling beer for a reason. A great crisp taste with notes of pine and apple in it. Plenty of hops but not too hoppy.
This beer can be found in 38 states and 7 countries. An overall great beer, I might be abnormally high on it because I tasted it directly from brewery. Nevertheless, a great beer and definitely recommend.

Another fine beer from Wisconsin. Although I've spent most of the summer sampling Wisconsin/Minn. IPA this is a nice refreshing high alcohol Red. Has a slight bitterness, but Lovely taste that is super smooth--this one is fine, fine, fine---well done, Lakefront!
