This poured out as a deep amber color with a soapy tan head on top. The beer has a very nice lacing as well as a pretty strong retention as well. The smell has a pretty good piney aroma with some toasted malts in there as well. The taste of the beer has a pretty good bitterness to it along with a nice caramel malt flavor in there also. The mouthfeel is creamy, a decent carbonation and dry in the finish. Overall this is pretty good, would love to have it fresh. Worth trying!

Fixed Gear pours a hazy dark copper color with a moderate frothy head on top. As the foam fades away it leaves a fair amount of lace coating the glass. A descent amount of bubbles float to the surface.

The aroma is rather faint. Malty notes of caramel and bread are followed by hints of citrus and pine.

Each sip of this medium bodied beer is smooth and creamy with mild to moderate carbonation. The flavor begins malty and sweet with caramel, toffee and dark fruit (raisin or plum). Towards the end pine and citrus hop bitterness appears. Once gone the caramel and pine bitterness lingers on the palate.

A tasty beer with a great mouthfeel that leans toward the malty side. A nice change of pace from all the hop bombs out there.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a conic pint glass in high elevation Libby, Mont. Bottled last September. Reviewed live.

A- One-finger cream head. Semi-hazy walnut body with moderate clarity. Retention on the head is rather low, only about one minute. Some thin lacing is left when agitated. Decent looking beer.

S- Caramel maltiness, semi-dark fruits. Rich and dark for a red ale. Some earthy hops.

T- Metallic bitterness from the hops, some caramel malts. Rather undeveloped flavor, but not bad.

M- Creamy and surprisingly thick. Nice feel!

O- Not a great beer, but has a nice feel.

12oz bottle bottled the end of february

Look is a deep red/amber filled with very fine sediment. Thin covering of lacy head. Smell is light malt, citrus hops, maple syrup, oak, alcohol. Taste kinda has a dry leaves thing going on, but that is removed from the mouth by a boatload of hops.

A pretty decent amber ale. Consistent and fairly thick bodied tones. It doesn't really give a lot of variance on the flavor, but it's pretty good for what's there. Smooth feel overall. Pretty easy to drink. Not too shabby, but not too memorable either.

A: The beer is slightly hazy reddish amber in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a half finger high beige head that gradually died down, consistently leaving a thin head covering he surface and lots of lacy rings of bubbles down the sides of the glass.
S: A rather complex mixture of citrusy and floral hops is present in the nose along with notes of caramel malts and hints of pine resin hops.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, but has a little more balance with the caramel malts and citrusy hops. A light amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and has a nice balance between the citrusy hops and caramel malts.
