Nice golden orange color. A good size head that dissipates quickly enough to question whether it was even there or not. Minor retention, but decent lacing.
Spices hit the olfactory sense with a hammer. Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove dominate. Smells like a fresh pumpkin pie.
Sadly, the taste does not compare to the smell. All of the elements are there, they are just subdued to the point of blurring. If anything, I'd say that this beer is over-balanced. I can tell that there are multiple things going on in here. I just can't pick them out and seperate them from one another. There's too much overlap. This is the taste of "bleah!".
Once again, this beer is disappointing to me. The body is weak and lifeless. Nothing to excite me. Just thin and watery.
Here is a time that a beer started off very promising and couldn't quite pull it off, in the end. I wanted this to be so much more. I'm not in a hurry to have another one.
