Pours with a good head, a hazy, cloudy orangish amber, with no lacing. That pumpkin beer smell with nutmeg and cinnamon for the smell, not bad not great. Pretty good pumpkin beer with the nutmeg and cinnamon and ginger. Really isn't that extraordinary a beer, just doesn't really work out that well. Good attempt, poor execution I'd say.

Orange amber pour with a white head that disappeared quickly to zilch. No lace.

Smells of nutmeg, caramel malt and spices.

Taste is initially interesting with nice nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin favors but it fades quickly into a sweet malty base and a thin, watery mouthfeel.

There are better pumpkin brews.

12oz bottle poured into a Capital Maibock pint glass.

Appearance- A hazy orange with a half finger of off white head.

Smell- Lots of cinnamon and pumpkin with some all spice.

Taste- Taste just like a cold October day. Lots of bready crust like flavor with gobs of pumpkin, some clove and smokyness.

Mouthfeel- A medium mouthfeel with a great warming sensation that almost gives you a fresh pumpkin pie mouthfeel.

Overall- Lakefront does another quality job with a spiced beer. A pumpkin lager that gives a spot on representation of a warm pumpkin pie. The slight warming is a magnificent touch.

Pours a clear golden amber with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Ok retention and some spotty lacing. Smells of bread and lots of pumpkin pie spice. Tastes of light citrus up front then bread, cinnamon, and pumpkin. Medium light in body with good carbonation. Good pumpkin and spices, malty yet balanced. Not too intense on any of the flavors, but nicely paired. Pleasant, easy to drink and not tasting too high in alcohol, making for a very nice sessionable pumpkin ale for the fall season.

I must admit that this is the first pumpkin lager I have ever tried. Up to this point I have only had pumpkin ales. It cleary says "lager beer" on the bottle's front label. I had never heard of this beer or brewery before and just decided to take a chance with this one. This beer pours a fairly light and clear copper/orange color with a light tan head about one finger thick. The head has some nice staying power indeed, especially considering how small it is to begin with. Little lacing though. Spicy aromas of pumpkin, sweet malt, yeast, and cinnamon are present. It has a moderately sweet taste with fairly strong hints of pumpkin, cinnamon, and citrus present followed by some malt, yeast and spice. Has a nice smooth yet creamy and smooth mouthfeel with mild to moderate carbonation. Very easy to drink in a good way.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Pumpkin orange with a short head that quickly dissipated.
S: Strong pie spice aromas, with pumpkin underneath. Kind of like a pumpkin pie candle. One-dimensional, but pleasant.
T: Pumpkin and pie spice. Again one-dimensional but tasty.
M: Medium-bodied, pleasant, short finish.
O: Like others have said, far from the best pumpkin beer I've had but also far from the worst. Overall I enjoyed it.

Look - clear, very light amber color, with almost no foam at all. High carbonation.

Smell - As the name of the beer would suggest, pumpkin aroma, but not many spices, though perhaps a little.

Taste and Mouthfeel - Just as with the smell, sweet and subtle pumpkin smell without too many added spices. Sweet at the beginning, a little bubbly in the middle, and sweet again at the finish. Texture is quite smooth, almost toward the water side.

Drinkability - Decent brew for a relatively standard Fruit/Veggie beer. I would rank this one and Wassatch's Punkin Ale up there with the best of the Pumpkin beers that I've tried.

A good autumn brew to be had if not just once a year. A good looking appearance with its hazy orange color and fluffy white head. The two-inch head fades quick to a thin film with little lace. The oder was its down side for me. The taste of pumpkin and spice, mainly nutmeg & cinnamon was good. Mouthfeel is left very dry at finish.Overall a pretty good seasonal brew.

I poured thsi beer into a pint glass, it has a nice deep, rich coper color body, with a small tannish head that hanged around for a little while. The aroma is mainly pumpkin pie spices with a little bit of pumpkin flavor. The taste is almost like a pumpkin pie but has a little more malt flavor towards the bakc of the tongue. The mouth feel is good and overall a decent pumpkin beer.

A-Pours an earthy orange/amber color with almost no head and minimal, soapy lacing.

S-Heavy aromas of clove, almost smells like clove cigarette smoke. Some light cinnamon.

T/M-The nose had me excited but like many other pumpkin beers, it falls apart in the execution. No pumpkin flavor whatsoever, weak malt profile, and a thin, unsatisfying body make this beer a failure on almost every level. Tasted like an average marzen lager with some cinnamon in it.

D-Don't ever need to try this again.

A slightly hazy orangish copper colored lager, with some little floaties throughout. Nothing unappetizing at all though. Based on the pour I'd say this beer is bottle conditioned. Decent tan head was high and tight but faded fast.

There's a pumpkin and spice aroma with some hops complimenting the fall spices nicely. Some sweet caramel malt is detectable as well. The taste is of pumpkin and spice as well, but the spices get a bit perfumey which borders on unpleasant. Not noticing the hops here at all, but there is a but of an earthy malt behind all the pumpkin spice.

Decent body, a bit of a carbonation bite in the end, the beer finishes clean with just a hint of the spice lingering for a few seconds.

I was disturbed to see this in a mixed pack purchased in March, but the bottling date was late November. guess they brew this one year round or at least late in to the season.

Not bad...drinkable and all but a bit too heavy on the spice.

My buddy Paul has been talking this brew up the last few falls, so I'm finally giving it a try.

Poured out of a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A) Amber in color, about 1/2 inch of head, which was gone before I could get my nose into the pint. No lacing.

S) A combination of beer and spices. The smell is like pumpkin pie. In fact, I said to my wife, this smells like pumpkin pie.

T) Not as spiced as the smell led me to believe. A combination of malt, nutmeg and cinnamon. It really reminds me of a cider.

M) Light to medium/light. Actually, this is quite smooth, with just the right amount of carbonation to liven it up.

O) I have found most of the pumpkin beers I've tried to be a little to spiced for my liking. This one really hits the spot. It pains me to say this, but... Paul, you were right.
