Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy (80% clarity) medium golden color with no head whatsoever. (3.25)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of bread malt, wheat, lemon citrus with some German bread spice. Leans citrusy. (3.50)
Flavor: Moder flavors of lemon citrus, wheat, faint banana and bubblegum,. Lemon citrus lingers with sweetness. (3.25)
Feel: Medium-body, under-carbonated. Drinks flat. Lemon citrus and a tart mouthfeel. (2.75)
Rankings from a 4-way Blind test:
#1 New Glarus Bubbler: This one perfectly captures the essence of a hefeweizen. Strong German bread spices with cloves, banana, bubblegum. Yeasty, carbonated, clean. Extremely flavorful for the lower ABV. One of the top American Hefeweizens.
#2 Raised Grain Summer Vice: Has a nice orange citrus spice and authentic German wheat flavors of banana and wheat. The citrus gives it a slight American twist, but still has authenticity of banana and clove. Slightly sweet
#3 Great Dane Crop Circle Wheat: Drinks like a 50:50 citrus wheat and Hefe. Lots of lemon citrus and wheat, but still enough bread & spice to clean it up on the finish. Somewhat similar to #2.
#4 Lakefront Wisconsinite: Tart lemon citrus. Drinks flat, sweet citrus and tart. The worst of the bunch.
Overall: An underwhelming Hefeweizen here. Flat, no carbonation. Citrusy and too tart. I don't really need to say or drink any more of it. (Rating: 3.16)

16 ounce pint - Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Appearance: A soft yellow hue, a little touch of haziness. Slim, white head.
Smell: Restrained wheat with a sweet-smelling lemony accent and slight hints of banana and spice.
Taste: A little, light confectioner's sugar sweetness with the reserved wheat maltiness. A renewed blip of lemon citrus ahead of the banana and spiciness, both the estery and phenolics qualities are present but fairly inconsequential.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body that, while not quite watery, is noticeably nimble. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Am easy-drinking albeit light-leaning, squeaky clean weizen.

This was average across the board in a good way, with a nice combo of lemon zest, yeast, honey, bubblegum, light peppery spices, sweet malt and a touch of clove. Very easy to drink.

It's a hefe and I've you like this style you will find this as a middle-of-the-road the pack offer in that genre. I did not pick up of any +'s or -'s in this hefe offer.

Pours a lightly hazy orange yellow with a short lasting head of foam.
The smell is cloves, banana, wheat. Simple but basic to the style.
The taste is cloves, banana, wheat, some coriander. Flavourful and fits the style.
Close to medium bodied, the mouthfeel is good.

Decent Hefe from Lakefront...leans a little sweet with banana, vanilla and bread notes....a bit of bubble gum on the flavor and aroma as well. Pours relatively clean looking...almost like a Krystall Weiss. Could use a touch more carbonation.
Kind of a nice change up from all the clove phenol forward hefe's I've been finding from local breweries this summer.
