Nicely crafted pale ale bordering on an IPA
Presentation: Draft serving at its own brewpub. Served as a Brewer´s Marker on the menu, the chalkboard notes 100% Chinook hops and Alc. by Vol (5.?%). Served in a shaker pint glass.
A - Light amber color with a short foamy head (the glass is almost filled up to the rim), and nice lacing as it goes down.
S - Rich floral bouquet, a nicely herbal Chinook character.
T - Very smooth and pleasant bitterness with a nice malt balance.
M - Nicely carbonated, on a crisp body.
D - Very drinkable and pleasing brew.
Notes: Quite a nice surprise. Sure enough these hops are used commonly with PAs and they work wonders here, but this one leans so heavily to what I typically expect of a moderate IPA feel that the PA label had me completely off. Beautifully done brew in any case.

Orange in color with a thick 3" head. Thick lacing develops during the drink. The aroma was very floral and fruity. The flavor was a nice balance of sweet malt and floral bitterness. Orange citrus tones rounded this out.
Mouthfeel was lightly crisp at the start, with a crisp dry finish. The flavors lasted briefly on the tongue after swallowing. Extremely drinkable and refreshing. A well done APA.
