Appearance clear orange with a drop of copper; off-white, voluminous head to open with good life throughout; reasonable lace rings mark each sip
Smell orange, caramel, rind, grains
Taste pine and a bit of grapefruit set a moderate but not perfectly bitter tone that is countered with a caramel base; aftertaste is astringent hoppy with a hint of caramel
Mouthfeel pleasant (until the close), lightly crisp, moderate feel; light oil coating on tongue front to mid; the back of the tongue and throat is bone dry; nice hop tinge on the fringes of the tongue
Drinkability the aftertaste dryness and astringency set me back a bit but the flavor package wasnt all that bad
I wish I had one more to thoroughly complete the review but on quick assessment, I'd come back at least in curiosity but not for its excellence.
