Our remarkably drinkable entry level IPA, Hop Hog, delivers layered hop flavors, subtle bitterness and a firm malt profile. We've doubled down on the Citra and Cascade dry hopping, for even more fresh hop character and aroma.

I poured the beer into a pint glass, it has a dark amber color body to it and on top is a 1.5" white foamy head. It has a mild hop smell to it. The taste is mild hops and is nice and smooth on the tongue. I think it is very drinkable, but i was hoping for a hoper beer.

1.5" foamy head slowly retreated, leaving a thick webbing of lace on a Pretentious Glass Co. Spun Glass Pint. The beer is amber (SRM 6-7) with fine particulates in suspension.

Strong resinous old school hop aroma. The can identifies Magnum, Citra, and Cascade hops. There is a light floral air with caramel malt to counter balance.

Bitterness is modest with late mild sweetness, again old school IPA. The first few sips are generally underwhelming, however the rest of the beer is quite nice. Pine and sun tea dominate, with caramel holding firm. The finish is mild, almost absent at first, then suddenly turns to give an astringent punch.

A medium body and worn denim texture. Alcohol is well below the labeled expectations. Astringency starts to nub the gums about halfway through the glass, and carbonation lends a soft prickle.

This is a bit of a surprise. The old school qualities are a nice reminder of how far IPA has strayed over the years. Another thank you to Danna for bringing this one back so I could enjoy it on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Mostly clear amber body under a large, lasting, off white head that left good lacing. Pungent hop aroma touched by citrus and melon. Resinous, floral, citrussy taste. Spicy aftertaste. Malts are low keyed but supportive. Moderately bitter, medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel. Has earned its longevity.

12 ounce bottle canned 1/2/21 poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

L---Opaque/hazy Amber color. Fluffy white head that had good retention and left excellent lacing.

S---Hoppy, sweet with vague fruits.

T---A little bit of pine peeks out. Otherwise, vague citrus and good hoppiness.

F---Medium minus mouthfeel. Good carbonation.

O---I like this one better than it's BA average. It's a decent IPA, nothing fancy, but not as bad as it's rated here.

Poured from a 12oz can to a pint glass. Can date 3/11/20

L: nice burnt orange color with minimal head that fades quickly. Little to no lacing
S: citrus and pine

T: same as the nose. Citrus and pine. Also seems to be another fruit I can’t put my finger on but it’s good
F: a little thin but I didn’t mind it at all
Overall this is a really solid beer that drinks very easy. Won’t blow you away but solid nonetheless

Gold in color with some tiny hop sediment suspended within the body. There’s a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering the vast majority of the top. The aroma is of tangerine and honey. I’m tasting tangerine, citrus, and grassy hops. The mouth seems a bit thin and yet resinous.

Source: fresh 2.5Gs in 12 oz units straight from the brewery in Amish county ... PA

_The Tastings_
Glassware: PIlsner; Tulip
Serving temperature: 38°F

Moderately hard pour produced a fat but fading head and some lacing
Lacked the crystal clear clarity of my home-brew
Pleasing aroma
Tropical pine flavor
Low-end carb

Missing: cloying sweetness common in many modern IPAs

Overall: other than a tad of flabbiness; a tasty & potent quaff with a clean finish
Buy again: yes

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Slightly hazed golden pour. 2 fingers of fluffy white head.

S: Citrus and pine... classic west coast IPA.

T.F: Malty up front... sweet and grainy. Pine and citrus hops. Kind of old-school... a little earth/spice. Moderately carbonated... almost a bit of smoke in there. Modest bitterness.

O: A pretty average old-school style IPA. Easy enough to drink... but nothing to really recommend it.
