So this was the second I tried at the Eulogy tavern in Philly.
And perhaps the first beer i've had with a cow on the label? I sure hope so....i'd remember that.
Very dark pour and, as mentioned for the duck-rabbit, a hard color distinction under poor light conditions. nonetheless very opaque. The head is very small, if any, and rather rims the glass ever so slightly.
The smell is very subtle. and more or less woody, not sweet in any sense. It feels sorto of acidic at some point. Even creme fraiche like; not bitter. woody acidic sort of says it best.
Taste is also tending towards a dry malt feel. maybe a bit acidic milkiness to it at some point or it may just be the cow staring back at me. I don't know. It certainly doesn't feel like your american stout- this is New England for all it's worth- and has a very slight bitter grassy ending. Body-wise it is very thick but there's no perceivable alcohol.
Overall, not fantastic but not too shabby. certainly feels like not from these parts of the world, but as a stout, overall, it is ok. I reckon i just expected it to be sweeter.

A- pours a deep black color with a beautiful brown head that fades into a small ring of lacing that lasts the entire glass.
S- don't really smell anything. Literally nothing score is low but very mellow coffee aroma.
T- very melo taste for a stout which I enjoy very much. Slightly bitter and slightly creamy. Balance is amazing with this beer.
M- very smooth full bodied beer with wonderful lingering sweet coffe bean flavor.
O- very well brewed and highly recommended. In one word, melo.
