Poured from bottle into Samuel Smith's pint glass
A: Pours opaque black with a 1-2 finger creamy off-white head that quickly dissipates to a wisp of a cap. Not much if any lacing,
S: Roasty notes mixed with chocolate and caramel
T: Similar to smell, roasted barley with hints of chocolate and caramel
M: Just a tiny bit on the thin side for a stout, but adequate.
O: An enjoyable stout, good but not the best I've had. I wouldn't turn one down.
