This beer poured almost black with a small dark brown head that dissipated almost immediately.
The smell was all roastiness with only the slightest whiff of sweetness, but pleasant enough.
The taste was once again roasted grain with a thick cream tasting finish. Way too thick- as if you had chugged a glass of heavy whipping cream. This also affected the mouthfeel, which was too thick and clingy (not sweet). Very odd milk stout- I get almost none of the sweetness from this variety, but plenty of creaminess. I'm not a brewer, so I can't account for why this is. Slightly interesting due to the grain/cream combo, but not really a success.
