a - from a rather pleasantly generic looking bottle it appears as a deep brown almost black with a dark tan head that dissipates fairly quickly - carbonation very visible
s - smells sweet and malty with a hint of bittersweet cocoa
t - taste is similar to nose, no surprises here. Just a pleasant tasting milk stout - roasty, creamy, with hints of bittersweet cocoa
m - mouthfeel is nice although a bit fizzy and a little thin for my tastes but nevertheless enjoyable and leaves a nice bittersweet coating in the mouth
d - drinkability is very good. The stout's over-carbonation and thin texture lend to serious drinking so be cautious because it goes down easy!
The stout is priced fairly low and is an average to above average beer in this category. I'm not going to hold the thinness of the stout against it because I know I'll get a craving for this rather simple brew in the future.
Bottles do not seem to be dated.
