12 oz bottle poured into a 12 oz pint glass.
Appearance: totally opaque, no light getting through this one. Pitch black, offwhite head that quickly fizzles. (might be the glass)
smell: chocolate, sweet cocoa and lactose
taste: upfront, slightly chewy with a nice sweetness that is surprisingly carbonated there is a chalky kind of milk sweetness, then the next sensation is of the very slight punch of the hops which hits the back of your palatte with some crispness. The finish is where this beer really stands out, very nice long finish with serious chocolate notes and even some coffee, so velvetty.
Overall: Really drinkable beer, especially for this time of year its an awesome session beer if you dont mind the calories. Amazing finish, like that of a beer high in abv. If you like stouts, this is an absolute must try.
