A red-brown light seeps through this dark beer. Spores of foam collect as sheeting on the surface.
Sweet English two-row with molasses and light roastiness. Fruity with a browned apple and fig note, but gushing with dark rummy sugars.
Molasses, brown sugar, roast grain, pomme, porter malt bitterness, and light toffee. Hints of black cherry. Not much in the line of hops. Very un-American.
Drinks like a decent porter, except that it's a bit on the light side. Carbonation has good dimension.
A good porter of the English style.
Serving type: on-tap
