On tap at Lancaster Brewery as a limited seasonal. Apparently didn't do too well, as the waiter noted that it was not well-received.
A dark mahogany color with a very thin, glass clinger of a head with no retention and no lacing. The smells that came through were a light hint of chocolate malt (barely noticeable in the taste and, aside from the color, thats the only hint that there is any chocolate in this beer), parched grains, and a little bit of oak that was present in the regular Strawberry Wheat.
The body is so thin and watered down that it is difficult to taste anything else. This beer is to most American chocolate beers what McDonalds coffee is to Illy espresso. The lack of body and solid malt structure in this beer must be why the concept of a Chocolate fruit beer, or more aptly, a Chocolate pale wheat beer never got off the ground.

A- Dark chocolate with and off white head. Head falls slowly to a ring but leaves little lace on the glass.
S- Notes of chocolate, coffee, and roast malt. No real fruit or strawberry in the nose.
T- Mild Coffee and slightly bittersweet chocolate up front mild taste of strawberry comes in in the middle but is soon washed away by the chocolate notes. Interesting beer going to have to revisit this one. Finish is lingering with a mild final note of chocolate.
M- Slightly more that medium a little thin for what I was expecting but with decent carbonation.
D- Pretty easy drinker at 5.0% ABV, wouldn't want to make a session beer out of this one but easy to finish off one.
This beer is a mixture of Lancaster's Milk Stout and Strawberry Wheat served on draft at the brewery. Interesting enough for me to want to pick up a six pack of each and mix it up at home.
