A: The beer is clear amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin off white head that quickly died down, leaving some lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of wheat are present in the nose along with hints of raspberry syrup.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of sweet raspberries, and tastes like a Jolly Rancher candy.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but is too sweet to be refreshing. It tastes a lot like a candy.

Kumquat orange with no hint of strawberry red. A vigorous pour resulted in a feisty cap that had to be slurped to be contained. The pastel orange foam looks decent enough and is starting to deposit a passable amount of lace... that has no sticktoitiveness in the end.
The nose is faintly fruity with a modest amount of musky hoppiness. I might have been able to guess Hallertau, but would have whiffed on Cascade. Where's the strawberry? The brewery says that SWB contains the 'subtle suggestion' of strawberry. If the aroma is any guide, it's more like the 'unsubstantiated rumor'.
If you like wheat lagers with barely any fruit flavor, then hop aboard the Strawberry Wheat Beer train. The base beer is a rather blase vehicle that contributes a hint of toasted wheat graininess. The hops (again, Hallertau especially) provide a surprising amount of bitterness that seems out of place.
I'm able to appreciate the 'subtle suggestion' of strawberries, but I'm not 100% convinced that I could have identified the exact fruit if blinded. If I could humbly suggest a few changes, the list might look like this: less bitterness, more Cascade hop flavor and more strawberry flavor. Not exactly a complete overhaul.
The mouthfeel is actually pretty nice. It's light-medium for the style with a pleasing amount of smoothness and an agreeable amount of carbonation. No light fizziness here.
I've been impressed with two of the four Lancaster offerings that I've had so far (Gold Star Pilsner and Milk Stout). Strawberry Wheat Beer isn't horrible, but fruited wheat lagers don't easily impress lovers of big beer. That's okay. I fully understand that lovers of big beer don't pay the bills.

Appearance: Pours a clear light amber color with a hint of red strawberry; the head fizzes away rather quickly without leaving much more than a few dots behind
Smell: Not so crazy about the aroma - clearly strawberry, but more like strawberry jello than the fresh fruit
Taste: Although there also is a strawberry jello taste to this beer, it is surprisingly inoffensive and there is actually a hint of the real McCoy; not much of a flavor progression after the swallow, but that is to be expected
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with somewhat fizzy carbonation
Drinkability: I was expecting to be thoroughly disgusted by this but I could actually see myself drinking this on a very hot day...if there was nothing else in the fridge

A: The pour is a light amber color with a thin ring of white foam.
S: What an unappealing nose. Pure sugary sweetness without any discernible strawberry aromas, nor much in the way of wheat.
T: I was not expecting much, given the aromas, but the flavor of this beer is fairly good. A lot of sweet strawberries with a mild tartness on the finish.
M: This one is light in body with a low-to-moderate carbonation.
D: I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this beer, but it is on the sweet side. I couldn't drink much more than a few ounces of this beer, but it's not bad.

Poured out as a hazy golden color, the head was minimal from the start and was gone by mid glass. The smell was strong with strawberry with a little bit of the wheat coming through in the distance. The taste was very light, surprised at how strong the aroma was for such a lack of flavor. The mouthfeel was decent. This beer is average to say the least not really worth another attempt.

The bottle pours a hazy amber-orange body with a short-lived creamy white head. It maintains a thin collar but leaves no lace. The nose displays a mild strawberry (but isn't all strawberry mild?) and wheat malt. It's welcoming, and certainly not overdone as some fruit beers can be. Light bodied with a fine and mild carbonation, it's smooth across the palate. The flavor combines the wheat malt and mild strawberry extract found in the aroma with a gentle bitterness. It finishes with some residual maltiness, but it's not sweet.

Perhaps I got a bad bottle. Who knows. But, my feeling on the whole thing was that is was weak. It seemed to me like there lacked a smooth edge to the beer. It almost seemed to taste dirty and the strawberry is in the end. If I am going to go for a strawberry brew tomorrow, I will try anything else.

Presentation: 12 oz brown bottle with no freshness date.
Appearance: A typical wheat beer froth, it seems to stick around a bit as well. Hazy straw amber color sort of murky looking.
Smell: Smells a little bit like strawberry soda extract. A neutral malt and yeast are in the back.
Taste: Odd strawberry fruit flavor, the wheat leaves a mild twang and there is sweetness all around from the wheat and feigned by the fruit flavor. Hops are extremely small on the palate with a lasting strawberry flavor in the finish.
Notes: A fruit beer is a fruit beer is a fruit beer this one of those fruit beers.

A slightly hazed by no means cloudy or unfiltered has a orange light copper tint to it with a nice sized creamy white head leaving on specks of lacing with each consecutive sip. The sharp wheat tones with a bit of biscuity bready malt character and then there's enough of the strawberry in the actual aroma. Taste is creamy textured good drink one for dessert but there sharp sweetness of the wheat and the strawberry finish doesn't sit well in my stomach it's just one of those flavors, all and all not bad tasting just a bit astringently sweet harsh on the back of the throat. Mouthfeel body is thin untextured except for the fizzy carbonation also adding to the cloyingly over carbonated beer like this. Drinkability I'm just not into it Lancaster's other beers are much more pleasant and agreeing toward my tastes.

GOt this thanks to Noslenwerd, another one to try to get my wife to like.
A: Pours a semi creamy 1 finger head that fades semi quickly, and a decent number of bubbles rising from the etch in the bottom of my SA Perfect Pint glass through the semi clear slightly hazy golden orange wheat color.
N: A really light aroma, with some light wheat aromas, slight syrupy sweet malts, hints of fruit with a strawberry undertone, slight ale like crispness with those syrupy malts and lots of wheat.
T: Hmmm, not what I was expecting. It actually has quite a bit of toasty malt flavors. A nice wheat malt, with definite strawberry flavor but the "fruit" isn't over the top. It's more like that strawberry syrup I used to have as a kid that would make strawberry milk. The sweet toasty malt flavors are really nice actually. Quite crisp and refreshing, with some nice sweet malty flavors and hints of sweet strawberry. Reading some of the other reviews it seemed to be over the top in Strawberry with not much malt, so perhaps I got a new batch, or this has been sitting a while (which I'm sure it has) and has mellowed quite a bit.
M: Medium to lighter body, with decent carbonation but could use a little more carbonation, especially for the style.
F: Finishes slighty dry with some of that lingering syrupy malty ale flavor. A little lingering strawberry as well, like strawberry syrup. Otherwise it's mostly clean on the finish, nothing really lingering too long and just lets you get ready for the next sip. I went at this beer with low expectations, but for a beer that is designed to keep clean and crisp and not in your face, they did a decent job.

The beer pours a gold color with a slight red hue to it. It has a nice white lace head. The aroma is good. It has a sweet scent to it with a mild aroma of strawberries. The taste is good also. It has good balance between the wheat malts and strawberries. It is sweet and very tastey. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a fine wheat brew; a great drinking beer.

Poured amberish/orange with a creamy white head that thinned, but was fairly well retained and left some lacing.
The smell reminiscent of strawberry juice. That's about it.
The taste was very acidic. Reminded me of chewing on a stale battery. Eventually, some hints of something neutralized it a bit, but the acidity stayed.
In the mouth, there was some creaminess that almost saved it, but the stale acid flavor remained.
It was not easy putting this away. A neighbor gave it to me to try. I gave him an Allagash White. He got the good end of the switch. This was acidic and lacked any flavor outside of some strawberry-juicelike flavor that did seem to vanish as the drink progressed.

Pours a orange / copper color with a 1 inch head. Spotty lacing developed and the head quickly receded to the rim. The aroma was of berries and mild malt. The flavor was disappointing as the strawberry flavoring seemed a little fake. The wheat was almost unrecognizable. There was a bit of bitterness. All in all the flavor was slightly unbalanced.
This was smooth on the tongue, and the berry flavoring lasted a few seconds after swallowing. Average drinkability since the wheat tones are so far behind the berries.

I thought this was one of the better beers in the mixed 12 pack. I'm not too huge into fruit beers, but this one had a nice subtle fruit flavor to it and was really drinkable and not too sweet like some make the mistake of doing. Medium bodied and really drinkable, pretty surprisingly good little beer.

I keep going back and forth on this beer. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. This particular time on draft, I liked it. Last time I had it was out of a bottle and I wasn't crazy about it.
Appears a copper color with a small white head that dies around a minute. There are scatterings of lacing to be seen and small amounts of carbonation.
Smell is of definite strawberry and wheat. Reminds me of a strawberry shortcake a little bit but it may remind some of strawberry syrup. Kind of addictive to smell it actually.
Taste is actually good this go around. There is a nice strawberry sweetness that is there and blends well, making you like your lips.
Mouthfeel is light and refreshing with the pronounced, crisp strawberry lingering around the front of the tongue and the middle making for a clean finish.
Do yourself a favor and try to get this on draft unless you know the bottle you have is fresh.
It's ok, dog.

A very effervescent beer with a light head that quickly dissipated. The color is a light gold and the beer itself is quite clear, unexpected but not out of bounds, for a wheat beer. The nose is the first indication that when they say "Strawberry", they ain't kiddin', Jack! In addition to the intense strawberry smell, there is also an underlying grassy scent. This is an intensely sweet beer with strawberries throughout. It has a thin mouthfeel, but the strawberry really hits at the finish and then pleasantly lingers.

Looks like a nice beer and then - whoa - this tastes just like strawberry ice cream. Same flavoring ingredient used here maybe? If you want a beer that tastes like ice cream, that's cool. But overall the tastes comes off as being unnatural and synthetic. Still, I probably wouldn't pass up a pint on a hot day.
