This beer pours a rich amber color with decent size head. The smell is strong of wheat and a bit sweet from the strawberry. The taste has a nice grainy taste from the wheat, then the sweetness from the strawberry, but it has a bit of bite from the strawberry. The flavor could be a little more stronger, it quickly dissipate from the palate. Overall a good overall beer, plus if I liked strawberries probably even better.

I thought this was one of the better beers in the mixed 12 pack. I'm not too huge into fruit beers, but this one had a nice subtle fruit flavor to it and was really drinkable and not too sweet like some make the mistake of doing. Medium bodied and really drinkable, pretty surprisingly good little beer.

Poured from 12oz bottle.

A- Pours a golden orange color with hints of a pinkish tone to it. One finger white head shows low retention. Light spotty lace left on the glass.

S- Wheat comes through first in the nose. This is followed up with a nice balance of strawberry. A little artifical smelling but this doesn't destroy the aroma in the slightest. A nice balance between the wheat and strawberry.

T- There is once again only two parts to this beer which is wheat and strawberry (shocker). The strawberry places a bigger flavor than the wheat and acts as the underbody to the beer as a whole. Wheat acts as a secondary flavor which balanced out the strawberry. To me it had a light strawberry milk flavor to it without the milk heavy flavor.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Strawberry and wheat are left not only on the palate but follow through long into the aftertaste. No real alcohol flavor at all and shows very light drying on the palate. No off flavors shown while drinking. This beer is balanced perfect for the style it said it was.

O- This beer was exactly what it said it was. Strawberry forward with a wheat backing...and this is what it said it was going to be. ABV isn't high and you really couldn't taste it at all in the beer while drinking. Overall if you want a beer that is strawberry forward(not heavy) masterpiece flavor and drinkability wise then try this one out.

I'll admit I'm slightly impartial to this beer as I grew up near Lancaster. However, I do give honest reviews (see profile on other Lancaster beers).

Although others don't seem too found of this brew, I certainly think it's fantastic.

Not one usually for fruit beers, this is my one exception.

Pours a nice light lager color.

Smell is wonderful. Bountiful strawberry scenets mixed in perfectly with the beer.

Taste and smooth and rich. Perfectly balanced.

Easy drinking beer, perfect for summer meals with corn on the cob!

Pours a golden orange-amber with a thin white head with little retention and little lacing. Smells of wine and sweet wheat; probably a mixture between the malt and the strawberry component (which I couldn't isolate). Tastes predominantly of wheat with faint notes of sweet strawberry. Body is light and relatively watery, and carbonation is moderate.

I'm not sure why everyone hates this beer quite so much. Strawberry wheat is much more wheat than strawberry and in that respect, it honestly doesn't compete with other fruit beers. It's a decent wheat beer with a touch of strawberry -- nothing more, nothing less. Not bad, but refreshing.

A: cloudy gold orange into a american shaker with very little head that went away quickly and didn't leave any lacing.

S: there is strawberry and a little wheat and that's about all I get from this beer.

T: the strawberry does complement the wheat in the taste rather well but the whole body of this beer is based a little to much on the strawberry.

MF: watery and light but refreshing.

D: I'd pass this beer up again but not if it where free or came in a mix pack. A good one for my beer disliking girlfriend.

-12 oz. bottle poured into mug.

A: Pinkish/Copper color. Very thin head.

S: More wheat than strawberry. Not overwhelming.

T: Just like the smell; malty with a hint of strawberry.

M: Light body. Little Carbonation.

D: Drinkable. Glad I only bought a 6'er of it though, probably won't purchase again. This was the 1st strawberry flavored beer that I've ever tried.

Review from notes taken visiting the brewpub this past summer. Hung out in Hershey Park, ate some chocolate, dealt with having to buy cases only when looking for beer and hit up this brewpub (not the one pictured, the other location).

orange color, smells of strawberry wine cooler. like a strawberry soda or seltzer crossed with a wine cooler. Nice aftertaste, but not my favorite.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Amber colored with a touch of red, about a finger worth of head that settles quickly to nothing, no lacing.

S: Malty, little wheat and a little strawberry, nothing overwhelming on any counts.

T: Just like the smell here.... malty wheaty and a little hint of strawberry... Feels a little like jam added to the beer. The taste is pretty balanced between the malt and strawberry. Aftertaste is light with very little aftertaste, maybe hint of wheat in the finish. Not bad.

M: Very light and crisp....

D: Overall not bad.... Low ABV makes it a very sessionable beer, but nothing to run out for, but if you like these kinds of beers it is worth a shot.

S: Fruity gumball smell over a wheat base. Strawberry is present but not overpowering.

T: Pretty basic wheat with an added juiciness in the finish. Very faint bittering in the finish, but you really have to look for it.

M: Thin and smooth.

O: Good brew, nice change of pace for something a little off the beaten path.

Appearance: 1 inch head, reddish-brown in color, clear, moderate carbonation

Smell: strawberries and wheat

Taste: strawberries dominant at the beginning and the end..wheat is present throughout and there is a touch of hops in the middle.

Mouthfeel: sweet start with a slightly bitter middle and a sweetish end, high carbonation, light bodied

Drinkability: This is a nice and light summer beer that I might have again. The strawberry is present but does not dominate the beer. I have had better fruit beers and way worse. Not a beer to spend the night drinking, but certainly one in the middle of a tasting would be refreshing.

When i poured it, had a alight amber color body with a small head, which dissappeared quickly to a thin lace around the top of body. A very light smell of strawberry and malts, no hops. It has a nice taste of strawberry and a little bit of wheat. Has great mouth feel and is very drinkable. Other than that not much going on with beer.

A: Very clear amber. Forms a small white head that reduces down quickly to a ring around the glass. No lacing.

S: Smells of carbonation, grains, and corn. There is also a very light, almost imperceptible, scent of a slightly sweet artificial strawberry.

T: Very lightly flavored. A little bit of sweet malt. A lot of club soda. Some artificial strawberry on the finish.

M: Light bodied with heavy carbonation. Carbonation is so heavy it tickles the tongue.

D: While this beer is not very good, it's saving grace is the fact that the flavor and aroma are very light as I could only imagine how bad this beer would be if it actually tasted like something.

There is not a lot to say about this one. Very little strawberry flavor is able to get through a very weak wheat beer. No aroma, no complexity, no second chance. And to make is worse, this was on tap at the brewery, I can't imagine how nondescript it must be from a bottle.

This fruit beer is for fans of light beers and no desire to drink a real beer. Weak in every way.

The false strawberry flavor permeates but is not even strong enough to mask the ultra weak wheat style. A boring garbage beer that never comes into its own flavor. So light and so nothing.

Pours a gently cloudy, amber-tinged yellow with some thinner wheat highlights. The head appears thinner and matted, egg shell white. Crackling and effervescent, it recedes quickly.

Sweet, husky grain and lightly toasted, buttered wheat bread. Hints of phenol and a definite candy-like strawberry aroma.

Up front, it's decidedly sweet with lots of doughy biscuit and somewhat bland wheatiness. The butter phenol flavor pokes through and doesn't mesh well with what one would expect to be a brighter fruit note. However the strawberry is mellow and again very candy-like. The strawberry comes across as less than authentic; like the strawberry flavored milk or those gummy strawberries found in penny candy.

Mildly crisp up front but quickly fading to a very fluffy, dim finish that all but dies on the palate. The modest ABV would indicate a decently drinkable beer but in this case I can't see myself enjoying more than one without the strawberry marshmallow notes becoming burdening. Worth a try, but that's about it for me.

Pours a pinkish orange yellow with a white head that fades fast. Smell is malty with some sweet notes, not much going on there. The flavor is malt, no hops, with some sweet strawberry flavor. It starts sweet and ends with a strawberry finish. The mouthfeel is medium, nicely carbonated. Even though the flavor isn't complex the mouthfeel is good. This one is an easy drinker, the flavor isn't annoying, good for summer.

Looked a lot like the color of new motor oil (certainly not the consistency of oil - let's be clear on that!), with an immediate 1 1/2" head that went away pretty quick.

Smelled a little of strawberry, but the strawberry smell was quickly overwhelmed with the more traditional smells of a wheat beer.

Unimpressive taste, as the strawberry taste itself tasted more like candy corn, and had a syrupy back taste. If you took out the strawberry taste, it probably wouldn't have been too bad - I'll have to try some unflavored Lancaster offerings.

Mouth feel was a bit watery but held a decent amount of carbonation

Not exceedingly drinkable, but mainly due to my disappointment in the lack of a good demure fruit beer taste, like that of my favorite blueberry beers. Probably better than Pete's but I still won't rush out to buy more in the near future.

Poured out into a pilsner glass. looks clear and amber or a red gold. smells very faintly of strawberries but more funky than anything else. i think this is the combo of the wheat and some citrus which is surprising as it's supposed to be strawberry.

tastes watery with some wheat beer going on. not getting much strawberry.

mouthfeel is a bit watery.

A- Pours a deep gold with no head and a lot of carbonation.
S- No beer smells at all. Just sweet strawberry, not overpowering or sickening.
T- Just okay. The strawberry flavor comes through a bit. Almost tastes like cream soda.
MD-This beer is very easy to drink, but I probably will not look for it again.

A - Clear amber with a strawberry tint. Pours a white head with good lacing.
S - Strawberry jam. Odors you'd expect from a sour beer... gym sock?
T - This is not good. Watered down strawberry kool-aid. Little to no wheat flavor, maybe even a bit malty.
M - Carbonation is high, but appropriate. Good mouthfeel.
D - Drinkability severely hampered by the terrible taste.

Pours an orangish-amber into a pint glass with very little foam. Smell is very faint - a little bit of strawberry, and not much else. The taste, however, is just fantastic. The wheat beer flavor is at the forefront, but the strawberry smooths it out wonderfully. It's not overly sweet, nor is it entirely fruit-foreward like some other fruit beers (i.e. New Glarus.) A surprising find, and worth a try if you see it.

Pours a hazy golden body with orange hues and a thin, frothy white head that sits atop the beer for sometime before subsiding to almost no lacing.

So far, I'm pleasantly surprised with only traditional wheat aromatics and perhaps only a faint presence of what seems to be authentic strawberry.

The strawberry is much more present in the flavor and again coupled with a pale wheat flavor with just a touch of hops in the background.

This beer is light and body and medium in carbonation with a very crisp finish.

Although my familiarity with the fruit beer category is limited, this beer was a nice surprise in that the strawberry was a compliment and not the feature. Certainly a crisp summertime brew.

Served on tap into my huge mug of doom.

A- pours a light amber with a one finger slightly offwhite head. Uneventful pour.

S- there is a weak aroma of strawberries...I do like how you get the scent by taking a whiff without getting choked up by it. Regardless, its weak.

T- slight taste of strawberry on the first sip that lingers after the swallow. The aftertaste is more tasty than the initial taste. I'm getting some malt there too. Not nearly as cloyingly sweet as in the bottle.

M- decent feel. Theres almost a little bit of wateryness to it, but at the same time, the malt gives it some body.

D- this is a lot more drinkable on tap than in the bottle. The flavors are a lot more subtle...very nice. If you had it in the bottle and thought it was too sweet, try a draft...seems like a totally different beer
