I do have mixed feelings about Little Creatures. People rave about it in Australia, but I often find myself rather disappointed.
Orange-amber, with small long lasting white head, which leaves blobs of lacing on the side of the glass. Very hoppy in both smell and taste, against a background of biscuity malt. Quite a strong tongue-tingling carbonation, a bit too much for my taste. So far it's a rather hoppy but average Australian beer. But then comes the finish, and that's what it's all about for me with Creatures. It has such a lovely satisfying lingering length of bitterness, with the hops and malt sticking around for ages. Heaven. That's what is keeping me wanting more and more of this beer.
I drank the new pint size bottle for this, and it was only towards the end when it was nicely warmed up that I really got into the great finish on this beer. Pint size is definitely the way to go with this - I wonder if it would improve further with a litre sized bottle....

Poured a dark yellow colour with white head.
Smell citrus, malt, slight hop
Taste is great, citrus, slight but very nice hoppy bitterness to finish
Mouthfeel great, light with little to no dryness although quite carbonated
All in all a great beer! I can picture drinking on a beach

The beer pours a dark yellow color with 2 cm of foam, from the tap. Slightly sweet in the aroma with floral undertones and a bit of grassy bitterness. A weak malt presence followed by pineapple and citrus hops. Nothing overwhelming here, but a solid, drinkable brew.
