Bottle. This is an interesting beer. Mid range ABV, but huge flavour. Dark amber almost brown out of the bottle, which doesn't seem to gel with the style. About a finger of white slightly creamy head which left behind a little lacing. Flowery hops are quite obvious in the aroma on top of a malty base with hints of orange peel. As indicated above, no shortage of flavour for a mid strength beer, a very nice balance between the sweetness of the malts and slight bitter finish of the hops, also with a pleasant toastiness in the finish and aftertaste to add to the balance. A little watery on the palate. Would make an excellent session beer, you could easily drink this stuff all day. Overall a pleasant surprise and worthy little brother to the famous Pale Ale.

Lightish aromatic hoppyness, reminde me a hell of a lot of their Little Creatures Pale Ale, except a far less superior version, hoppy and light session ale, nothing really that exciting however.

Pours copper/ruby with a large off-white head, quickly fading to a thin layer.
Nose shows juicy hops with pineapple, orange and floral characters along with a fair bit of honey and crystal malt.
Very similar flavours, at least as far as the hops go. The malt is no where near as obvious, but still shows some caramel and nutty hints. Finishes somewhat weakly.
Body is lacking but carbonation is spot on.

Pours a deep golden brown color with about 1cm of creamy head that fades away pretty quickly. Smells a tiny it yeasty, a little chocolatey and slightly hoppy, but I can't tell what kind of hops. The taste is a little dry with some bitterness and some estery fruitiness. Mouthfeel is a little creamy with some fizziness around the outsides, just enough to finish fairly dry/clean. All in all, it's a fairly drinkable beer, but at the price, I could get comparable beers for a lot cheaper.

33cl Bottle, brought back from Oz by a family friend who knows I like to try different beers. Best before 11 Oct 2011, silly cow forgot to give it me when she got back, hence me reviewing it in Dec 2011.

Poured into a Palm Speciale stemmed tulip glass: Clear, bright, deep amber body with plenty of carbonisation bubbles rising to the weak, thin covering of a head above. The wispy covering soon fell away to a collar and an island or two of small bubbles even though the body seemed to be trying to replenish the head.

Caramel and malt molasses in the nose, not too strong but there none the less.

The taste is also malty, with a crisp hop bite to balance out the maltier sweetness.

A bit too fizzy for me and just slightly watery in its body depth, even at 3.8%ABV.

All in all not bad, long way for it to come, but glad I've tasted it.

This is the go-to mid strength. Fantastic taste - sessionable english mild style WA beer. Gaining a cult following here in perth....
Nice subtle kiwi hop presence on the nose and palate. Ruby red in colour, medium malty balance somewhat overshadowed by the hops.

A classic

330ml bottle. minimalist label. 3.8%abv. best before 07/07
thanks to finite for sending this my way.

clear deep amber. low carbonation. forms a smallish off white head which slowly fades to a light lace. minimalist appearance.

aroma is a light mix of sweet malt and floral hops. those properties grow slowly as the beer warms. they start out only just noticeable, but become a welcome precursor to taking a sip.

surprisingly smooth for a beer of 3.8%. could probably use a touch more hops to give it a bit more oomph, but that would probably go against what this beer is about. seems more a mild than epa, but thats semantics and im a hop head. so where does that leave us? with a very well balanced easy drinking ale.

nicely done again by little creatures. maybe this will come out in pint bottles like its big brother to do it justice. 330ml rogers = not enough.

Pours a deep amber-brown (a bit unexpected) with a light head.

A nice floral aroma, only a slight metallic hint.

Floral notes persist in flavor, very light malt & hops despite the color.

Very drinkable: a good balanced malty flavor in a light decently carbonated package.

This is an exceptional example of a mid strength beer.

Colour is a beautiful red/amber ala irish ale.

Nose is citric hops similar to LCPA,but more subdued with malty base line.

taste is mild well balanced hops up front ,with a malty/crystal finish that complements the fruity style to a tee.

Its a mildly dumbed downed APA with a lot more (english)malt character and a lower alc content that is masked by its drinkability.

Top work lil Creatures.

Tan in colour with a dark head which drops away quickly. Floral hoppy aromas. The palate shows a slight bitterness and some nice toasted malts. A little sweetness hides in the background. A medium but persistent carbonation gives it a nice mouthfeel. Really liked this one especially the fact that it combines taste and a low ABV.

Pours a tea colour with little head, no retention or lacing...very fine carbonation

Floral hops in aroma with a little roasty sweetness...

Taste wasn't packed but then again its only a 3.80. In saying this, this did have some character...some american floral hops in taste, citrus & grapefruit, a hint of roasty sweetness, finish with subtle bitterness...

Mouthfeel was a little watery, but also a little scrapy on the tongue, leaves a florally flavour on the palate.

Well, for such a mid strength this is very pleasant although it sort of felt I tipped some Amber Ale into a Pale Ale..a little mishy mashy

Dark copper, amber with a tidy head. Laced consistently. A nice hop hit on the nose wih some tropical notes and a lick of butterscotch malt at the back. Drinks with some more of those lovely hops and a firm bitter backbone. Finishes a little sweet. Very sessionable and at 3.8% I'd say it is the best mid-strength readily available by quite a long ways.

A: pours a clear dark amber color with a nice head that fades to some lacing.

S: Aroma of roasted malt with a bit of caramel sweetness and bit of toffee.

T: Taste of roasted malt, some caramel sweetness and toffee. Mild bitterness and a clean finish.

F: Moderate body, smooth with a nice balance.

O: Has more flavor than I expected for a 3.8% ABV. Nice beer for the style.

A: Clear dark caramel colour, this off white head, light amount of lacing.

S: Very subtle, sweet and malty.

T: Very mild on the palate- malty, hops, slightly sweet.

M: Leaves a very dry aftertaste which isn't the greatest, nice carbonation though.

O: A nice enough beer, would drink again but there is nothing stand out about it.
