Amazing shop and website. I really love this place. So far i've completed 4 orders without hassle.

Excellent site layout, a list of countries and then a list of breweries. A website which is getting updated constantly too.

Excellent customer service, they have a facebook page where you can contact them quickly and easily, and they are always happy to help.

The selection immense, the best in the UK. Gave 4.5 rather than 5.0 because I think there US selection could be improved, and the lack of Mikellers is disappointing.

Some highlights of my orders include:
-US: Rogue, Stone, Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn, Odell, Dogfish Head, Anchor
-Belgium: all the trappists, St. Bernardus, Piraat, Gulden Draak, Couden Carolous, Dupont, Boon, Cantillon, Delirium Tremens.
-UK: Sam Smiths and many, many more!
-Germany: Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, Andechs, Schneider, Weltenburger.

Agree with another recent review that customer service is not good to be polite. My orders have had problems and the staff have been rude to say the least. I'm still waiting for my refund and a response to my complaint. Agree that in theory there are a large selection of beers, however a lot seem to be regularly out of stock... the beers themselves when you can get them are nice but plenty of other stockists if you want a good shopping experience!

Good range of beer, with a reasonably easy website to navigate.
Shame about the amount of time between order and shipping though - order in the evening of 14th Dec and the beer actually shipped out on 21st ! That's almost a week for packing. To contrast, KayGees online shop has a great range and packed and shipped within 48 hours with the other beers (possibly only beers) for the event tonight.
According to the guy on the phone just now, that's OK, because they had messages on the website, so its my fault they took a week to pack the order.
Let down by the BoE packing and shipping, not impressed by the attitude on the phone (although it is just before Christmas and everyone is stressed) - and now DHL may be yet another day late.

Haven’t been to the warehouse but have had a few deliveries from their online store. Amazing selection of beers not just from Europe but all around the world. Very good for Belgian, German and American beers, and of course British too. Seems to be good value, most stuff is reasonably priced. Delivery is fast and everything is packaged well.

I have driven more than 19,000 miles in the UK over the past 15 years. If there is a better bottle shop beer store, I haven't found it. The selection is HUGE. Bottles are arranged by country. Go to their website to see for yourself. Setchey is a small village just south of King's Lynn.

Go early in your trip so you have time to consume your findings. They complement the pub stops; they don't replace them. Bottled ales and real ales are different brews. Don't make the mistake of avoiding bottled choices.

A-It's a giant warehouse!
Q-Awesome selection of European, American and other beers!
S-Great staff, very helpful!
S-Selection is huge.
F-none.
V-Shipping is very fast and a great flat rate of 7 GBP. Prices are a little on the high side, but hey, it's England and it's imported, can't get around that can we?!

Took delivery of an order from BOE 2 weeks ago which I made online

62 different bottled beers and no mistakes and no breakages so pretty impressed with the former in particular !

Choice is as good as it gets in the UK but it can be a tad annoying when you spot a beer you like and 'OUT OF STOCK' is displayed at the bottom of the product! Can't be helped I guess - but it would be less frustrating from a consumer POV to simply not list the beers, or list them in a separate area?

In reference to a previous review in April of this year there are now lots of Mikkeller choices available, however no DFH - as there is no longer a distributor to the UK (I think they are purely focussing on the US market at the moment as they can't keep up with demand at home!)

Have rated atmosphere as 'exceptional' - but in reality this is n/a - that said the website is excellent and easy to navigate, so I guess that could class as atmosphere!?!

Quality I've dropped to 4.0 as I received around 4 bottles (all Odell's) that were around 5 months out of date!

Would have been nice to have been warned - they tasted fine but I felt obliged to drink them in the first few days as opposed to adding them to my cellar for enjoyment over the next 3 to 6 months

That aside - highly reccomended - I'll be doing another order this side of Xmas!

Wonderful place!. Visited this beer shop/werehouse on way home from holiday. Made online orders before & was always please with the selection & service but on visiting in person was amazed that there was loads more beer that were'nt on the website (which i was very happy with) & the owners were very nice people & made us feel welcome.

They have a large selection of beers & most other drinks.
I can't wait for my next visit cos they said they were making the shop bigger! So that means more range of great beers.

Great place for everyone who loves beer! So go visit.

Visited at last: used them on line and always found the website easy to use, with delivery swift and cheap.

I was in the area of the shop/warehouse and made a detour to find it, £76.00 later I left with 25 new beers and a bottle of rum I'd been after for a while.

The place is down a lane off the A10, no signs on the main road, that we saw anyway, which I thought odd, we drove past it the first time. Anyway, the lighting isn't too bright inside, so no problems with skunking. I was left alone to wander the rows of shelves, although help was available if I'd needed it. My trolley slowly filling up as I ignored my 'wanted list' and grabbed all sorts of goodies that caught my eye. A few Belgian and German glasses about too, there may have been more, but I had a target fixation on the beers!

I notice that some other reviewers have stated the US selection as being small and only big producers, well that has changed a bit, Victory, Stone and Rogue where all on the shelves along with Smuttynose to name but 4 (not so huge US brewers).

Friendly till staff, relaxed atmosphere and certainly the largest beer selection I've seen anywhere in the world so far. If you know of a place with a better/larger choice please feel free to beermail me, I'd love to see where ever you've been that's more impressive.

Very good selection of belgian beers. This place also stocks one of the best selection of american beers in the UK. Shipping is reasonable (7 quid to London). I recently bought the belgian 20 pack of mixed beers and some various US IPA's. The IPAs were fresh and hoppy and I was very grateful given the lack of selection at my local grocery store. The Belgian beers given were rare and varied, and all had a unique flavor. I'm enjoying them immensely. I will be ordering again from them in the near future!

I've only used their online service, but I'm going to guess that most people will have done the same as the shop itself is out of the way and in the middle of nowhere.

The selection is superb. The website orders the beers by country and then by brewery. Around 60 countries (although some no longer have a beer in stock and probably won't anytime soon). Great selections from the UK, Belgium, and Germany. Also a good showing of beers from the US, as well as some nice ones from Austria, Netherlands, and Denmark.

Prices were all quite reasonable. For the most part it seems like the cheapest online option in the UK. Also, for the most part, the beers were cheaper than my local shops (even with the shipping).

The one problem I have encountered with them is sometimes the beers are very close or in one or two cases past its prime. The problem arises, I'm guessing, due to the large selection, and the impossibility to turnover all those beers on time. There also seems to be no guarantee that they will restock a beer anytime soon.

The delivery was very good. Quick and prompt as well as well packaged. I've ordered probably 5-6 boxes from them, and have had no breaks. Shipping isn't bad for mainland England and Wales, as it is £7.49 per order, no matter the size of the order (so save up a make a big one). Looks like it is a bit more expensive to ship to Ireland and non-mainland England/Wales. Also they only ship to the UK.

All in all, this seems like probably the best online shop for the UK. Very impressive selection, and very reliable shipping. Also it is one day shipping (if you order before noon, otherwise it will take one extra day, still not bad). Beware of beers being old, especially if it's something that might not move fast. Other than that, highly recommended.

Arguably the best beer shop in the UK. The internet/mail order service is second to none. I have placed four orders over the past year of between 12 and 20 beers, and they have all arrived the next working day without fail.

The shop itself carries an intimidatingly large selection of beers. On my first visit I started going round with a hand basket, only to swap this for a trolley after about ten minutes - incidentally this got filled.

Great selection of Belgium and German beers, as well as substantial choice of hard-to-get beers from America and elsewhere around the world. Additional to the beers themselves there is a huge stock of branded glassware, meaning that more often than not you can get the beer you were searching for and the correct glass to drink it from.

Constantly updating the stock and website (which a lot of retails don't do) with new arrivals. The site also has a page that displays the new products over a two month period.

Hard to fault these guys. If you haven't tried them, then you really should.

Excellent online retailer with a superb selection of beers.

Their main focus is on British, Belgian and German brews with a small selection from a multitude of other countries. Sadly not a great selection from the US - just the usual suspects like Brooklyn, Anchor and SN....

I ordered a selection of German brews (including Andechs Doppelbock dunkel and Hefe, Weltenburger Asam Bock, Tuchers Bajuvator and a few others) and also 4 from Unibroue (Blanche de Chambly, Trois Pistoles, Maudite and La Fin Du Monde)..

Prices were very good also - some of the cheapest i've seen online...

Excellent service - delivery arrived about 3 days after the order was placed and was superbly packaged. Also probably the cheapest delivery i've found to Northern Ireland - just over £11 for up to 24 bottles..

Highly recommended....

A shop/online retailer, which stock (according to their website) over 1400 beers. They have several beers which are very difficult to find anywhere else in the UK, with the available selection coming form all over the world, but mostly from the UK/Germany/Belgium. Beers from the US follow the usual Anchor/Sierra Nevada/Brooklyn/Goose Island pattern. They also offer homebrew equipment, cider, giftpacks and glassware. Prices are competitive.

The order I placed was at my door within a couple of days and very well packaged. Overall, an excellent retailer.

Fantastic online retailer, over 1000 beers now, the belgian and german selection is phenomenal

Great site layout also, by country, then by brewery

Prices arent bad, some are higher priced than local offys and others are cheaper

The only downside is lack of american beers, they have alaskan rogue, victory and anchor, but nothing from stone, although saying that the 4 main micros that they do have are fantastic

They also stock a wide range of gift sets and glasses

All in all, a very good retailer, hope to get some christmas brews from them

Just bought a case of rodenbach from them, only £23 for 24 bottles, not bad

This is a mail order outfit (with a shop if you can get there) that stocks over 700 beers. These guys are serious, and you can easily get many beers that I just can't find anywhere else in the UK. In particluar the Belgian and German selection is amazing. They even sell some US beers!

The prices were better than my local supermarket last time I ordered, which helped offset the delivery charges.

If anyone knows of a better UK stockist, or a good one nearer to me in Cheshire, please Beermail me.
