Pours a light gold tone. No noticable smell, just a hint of grainy light lager.Doesn't taste very good, and it goes down even harder. definitely better withOUT the lime. I suppose if you like the taste its drinkability would be great, but this import is most definiely not woth the extra money. La Cervesa mas fina es asi asi.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pilsner glass.
Appearance: Pours the translucent, pale-yellow color common in most macro lagers. What little fizzy head there was dissipates immediately leaving absolutely no lacing. I wonder if this beer is best had straight from the bottle rather than poured...
Smell: Typical macro smell here. What little smell there is smells of corn and grain. There is a hint of sweetness in the smell but not much.
Taste: I can see why they recommend that you serve this beer with lime. There is very little taste to even speak of. What is there is mostly grainy, corny bitterness with just a hint of sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Has the feel of drinking soda water. Thin and over-carbonated.
Drinkability: I really do see the appeal that this beer has for some people. It would certainly be refreshing if you were outside, especially on a hot day. It's extremely chuggable, which would make it good for parties as well (trust me, I know). With a wedge of lime, there might even be some flavor to this beer. That said, this is one of the most tasteless beers I've ever had. If your looking for flavor, go elsewhere.

A - poured a pale straw color with a soapy white head that disappeared rather quickly and left no lacing
S - skunk, literally. Like freshly killed, driving past with windows down
T - the taste with no lime is not pleasing. corn and alcohol, great for frat parties, but doesn't please at all
M - watery bodied with lots of carbonation
D - avoid, avoid, and avoid. One more word. AVOID. I guess the addition of limes is what drives the marketing, but wasn't impressed

Bottle: a clear 355mL bottle with a tacky and cheap-looking transluscent macro label.
Appearance: very light yellow in colour with last fluffy bubbles, what little head there was dissipates very quickly.
Aroma: smells of standard American adjunct grains with some corn over the top. Not brilliant.
Taste: the palate is a bit watery for me, not much in the way of flavour. That said, I now live in Queensland where the temperatures and humidity dictate that I need to have a nice cold beer every now and then. Standard grains again here.
Aftertaste: the lack of flavour backs off very quickly which is fine, since this is quite sessional.
Mouth feel: light in body with big carbonation per the American adjunct style.
Overall: an okay sessional beer for the hottest of days, but honestly there are cheaper sessionals around. Corona has dropped in price over the last couple of years by around 25% - maybe people are finally realising that they should judge a beer on its merits rather than its marketing.

Quite possibly one of the worst beers on the planet. Appearance resembles "morning urine", smell is rather skunky and unappealing, Tastes like crap, however it is almost always served with a lime with gives it an exceptional drinkability. With the lime inserted it is as drinkable as Perrier and goes down just as easily. would take no time at all to polish off a 12 pack. Overall however this beer is little more than headache in a bottle and wouldn't reccomend it to even my worst enemy.

Out of the few Mexican beers that I have tasted, I can probably say this is one of worst. Pours a bright clear straw / yellow color with a faint lace. On the nose there isnt much, light cooked veggies. On the palate the flavors of husk, light sweetness, slight bitterness, fairly clean. Just not much going on, still drinkable on a hot day though, but why bother.

This is what I got for Christmas?! What the f?
It looks like my piss. Not really. It looks gloriously straw and perfectly (under)carbonated. Just right for the style.
Smells like grain, corn, some spicy hop in the background. Tastes okay, lingering sweetness from the grain and corn combo. The hops do provide a slight bit of balance. It's really not bad. I'm going to drink the rest of it with blueberries, though.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. The second Mexican beer I picked up for Cinco de Mayo.
A: You don't need me to describe it. You can see what it looks like in the bottle. Suffice to say it's not very appealing.
S: Skunked to hell. Interestingly, this marks an improvement over the typical macro aroma.
T: Ummm...yeah. They put limes in this for a reason. It becomes even worse as it warms up, so if you actually spend time trying to analyze the flavor, it'll most likely be undrinkable by the time you're halfway through the bottle.
M: I suppose it is reminiscent of something that could theoretically be refreshing.
D: I feel violated. Honestly, I think this would be pretty good served ice cold as part of a michelada. But as a stand-alone drink, it's pretty rough sailing.

I've been collecting bottle caps recently, and I found myself wanted a blue one, so I picked up a Corona out of the bargain bin. I'll forgo the Lime this time.
Appearance: Poured with a thumb of head that surprisingly retained but did not lace at all. The body is a very pale but crystal clear brass color with solid signs of carbonation.
Smell: Certainly has a skunky slightly acidic smell to it, with an almost sandy background. I also am catching a dried grass and generic grain smell. Charming it is not, as the words good enough come to mind.
Taste: Watered down, simply put as it starts with a light sweet corn and weak malt and turns to a bit of a dried grass kind of flavor. It's not offensive, but it certainly isn't good. I'm honestly not sure if this would taste better is it wasn't so watered down.
Mouthfeel: Well it leaves a bit of a sweet corn aftertaste, and the carbonation was fairly smooth, however the beer is very moist and watered down in the extreme. Slight acidic notes to the experience as well.
Drinkability: This beer is a thirst quencher, simply put as it had better be given how watered down it is. The acidic note would certainly cause me some stomach issues over time, but no problems with gas or getting it down. This beer is only for the summer though, simply put.
Final Thoughts: As the top selling import in the world, Corona is a testament to the power of marketing. A squirt of lime would give this beer some flavor, and help it's case but on it's own, it's really only appropriate for dousing ridiculously hot Mexican food, or having one after sweating on a beach at some resort. Frankly, if you put it next to a light lager, I would be hard pressed to tell the difference.

I've never poured this beer into a glass, but for reviewing purposes I did just that. It pours a bright yellow (almost unnatural) color with a thin white head that doesn't stick around. The smell is almost non-existent, if a little bitter.
I think the lime I usually have with this beer helps the flavor. It's not the worst macro lager on the market, but it is certainly an acquired taste. It is quite bitter, even sour, to the point where it's almost a turnoff. I still don't think it's putrid, it's just not a high quality nor a palatable taste for some. Mouthfeel is over carbonated and thin.
Well you either like this beer or you don't. I can tolerate it, and if it's this or Bud, I'll grab one of these every time. You can drink a lot of them too, if that's your goal. So if you haven't tried it yet, have one and see if it's tolerable to you. Me, I'll still drink them, but only when I have to.

S: Little more corn than the Extra other than that very little difference.
T: Sadly very little taste fron Extra,Maybe a bit less carbonation.
M: Medium body with a light floral end.
D: Would drink this more than the Extra Just becuse of the higher ABV %
