My poor beer stein...

Pours a pale yellow, crazy amounts fizz, zero head though... Funny how that works. Looks like there's not much carbonation.

Bit of skunk, some cooked veggies and bubblegum. Little bits of cooked corn.

Something almost sour? God that's bad, bubble gum sweetness again, no hops at all, kind of a cooked cereal taste.

Feels slick on the palate, the lack of carbonation after the initial fizz didn't help matters at all

Who drinks this? Is it a joke beer? God damn, keep this stuff far far away from me...

Look: Yellow crystal color, two fingers of foam that disappears very soon;

S: Soft, a mix of fresh malt with corn, remember me the sea i don't know why;

T: Corn mixed with sweet malt, some slightly spicy hops at the end;

M: Extra crisp and refreshing, medium bitterness, medium body and high carbonation;

D: The best beer to drink with sea food.

After throwing down quads and other dark Belgians all winter and spring and steady intermingling cases of ayinger Oktoberfest in-between, I have to throw on my Costas and Sperrys and unwind with the finest damn island hoppin beer of all time.. No not you, corona.
I can not be hater here. This is a very good Meixcan beer. This beer is godd with pizza , mexican food or any spice foods. It is close second to Corona Extra!

Apperance- Golden with a fizzy white head an a minimal lacing. Like a adjunct lager.

Smell- Some grains,corn, and hops.

Taste- Hasa light flavor, clean flavor with some after taste. I t was very good good balance and mild mild bitterness on the back end whic i did not care for.

Mouthful-Carbonation that doesn't fade and moderate dryness.

Overall- This is a Great beer for the Summer! It rrank high beer compared to others in its class, Pacifico is head and shoulder above the rest.. I will be drank this beer for the summer and many summers to come! Thank you Grupo Modelo in makeing another great beer!

You guys are ridiculous, this is absolutely the best mexican beer in existence. The smell reminds of the mexican breeze. This beer has the true flavor of a mexican beer. If you dont like mexican beers then dont drink it and dont complain. Maybe the reason none of ustedes like it is because none of you guys have any taste buds. Viva Mexico, Viva Pacifico.

The best Mexican beer period

This beer has a time and place. It is not to be dismissed out if hand. While lacking complexity and balance, it hits the spot in a hit day, out doors, when you are looking to throw back a quite a few. A crowd pleaser for good old beer drinkers.

Appearance – Yellow body; actually kind of cloudy for a Mexican ale. There was also a small head which, of course, dissipated quickly.

Smell – Very grainy with a whiff of floral hops.

Taste – More grainy malt on the taste buds, with a little hop again to add minimal dimension. There’s a skunk in there dying to get out, but he thankfully stayed put for this offering.

Mouthfeel – This is where Pacifico jumps ahead of other Mexican beers. The carbonation is real, not the fake soda pop variety you find sometimes in other, less refined piss beers. It makes this one refreshing.

Drinkability – IMHO, just what a Mexican beer should be. Lots of water, a nice mouthfeel, and enough taste to pass for cervesa. I served this one up muy frio – half hour in the freezer – made sure I was hot and tired from lots of yard work, and guzzled it after the tasting drinks.

12 oz. bottle poured into a footed pilsner glass

It pours the standard AAL, pale draw, white head, lots of tiny bubbles rising up. No lacing.

Aroma is of nothing. Seriously, no malt, hops, corn, rice, sweetness, alcohol or anything. Nothing. I'm actually amazed at the lack of aroma. I actually don't think I can downgrade it too much because of it.

The flavor is there though. A light graininess with a Minot metallic and then plastic towards the end. The plastic taste lasts into the aftertaste which is disappointing. Still not an offensive beer.

Mouthfeel is a little oily but still gas a lot of carbonation to keep it light. Very drinkable still. I was actually surprised on how not disappointed I was with drinking this. Leaps and bounds better than its other Mexican cousin, Corona.

A very decent Mexican brew. This poured a typical straw colour and had a minimal head. Smelled of grain and slightly of hops. Served very cold, this beer is good...a definant step above Corona and quite drinkable with mexican dishes. This brew has a slight skunkyness to it though, but it does not come out too bad untill it warms up. A very drinkable mexican beer.

Pours a very pale gold with a fizzy, non-commital head. You can just tell this one is going to run away as soon as it hits air. Lots of carbonation bubbles up the side of the glass, with bubbles floating up constantly. Mouthfeel is watery and fizzy.

Taste - well, a little bit of bready, mild hops and some corn. Not much body here at all, and smacks slightly of that macro cheapness. Better than Corona, and without the skunk. Probably needs a lime and a plate of mexican food.

This is still, however, my macro choice. Not as painful as most, and fun when you're at a Mexican restaraunt.

12 oz brown bottle with a bright yellow label, no freshness date to be found.

A- White fizzy head, dissipates quickly. Yellowish straw hue shows a bright clarity.

S- Cooked corn, mild solvent alcohol and a plum-like ester. Faint graininess in the nose.

T&M- Big mouthful of grain, horse-feed astringency. Odd twang of dead yeast and husk tannins. Moderate crispness Mild fruitiness in the back, finishes very dry.

D- Very harsh and hard to knock back, tastes like they rush the fermentation. Not recommended.

This is my first review of a Mexican beer. It's been four or five years since I've had one, so I won't be able to compare this to a Corona, or any other Mexican. This one pours a clear, light, peach color, with a one finger, soapy, white head that lasts about twenty seconds. Not much to the aroma, maybe some faint lemon soda. Mouthfeel is all carbonation. Taste is lemony tart all the way through, with active carbonation. No off-tastes, but nothing to mention, in all honesty. I would use a dark beer, like Negro Modelo, to boil fresh Pacific or Gulf shrimp in, and enjoy this "Clara" to wash down the shrimp, while watching the sun set in the western sky from the veranda of an ancient, seaside villa.

this is some nasty stuff. very light, very clear. Mediciny nose. minimal malt, some grainy hop bitterness. Nasty off flavors, astrigent and harsh. This is an unpleasant product that I poured out after about 1/2 of the bottle. Life is too short to drink this p**s

So Saturday night I'm at F1 just outside of Boston for my friend's bachelor party. I look around for anything interesting that I might like to try and decide on this little puppy first. My friend's, who are not BA's, were utterly shocked, but I was in the mood for something different.

For some reason I had always pegged this one as a Corona with a little more body. Upon thinking about it I have no real data to base that on, just my own view. Looked like Corona. Smells like sour Corona. Tasted like Corona with urine and dirty dishwater all mixed together. It may have been a bad bottle, but I don't think so.

If you're in the mood for living life south of the border you're better off with a Corona or better yet a drink with that little umbrella in it.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Yellow, with a thin white head and some lacing.

Smell: Sweet, sugars, corn, malts, and alcohol.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Taste is alcohol, sugars, some mild malts and corn, not as watered down as most Adjunct Lagers.

Overall: Not a horrible beer, but far from my first choice.

This brew fills a niche: beer to drink outside in the sun on a hot day with friends. It is not a great beer, nor can it hold a candle to a great IPA, bock, or stout. But, do you really want to drink one of those on the beach in Rosarito?

Pours clear gold with a lot of bubbles. Grassy, straw and grain aroma. Clean crisp taste of grain and weak hops, but not enough to offend. And you don't even need a lime to cut the taste.

12oz long neck @ Don Pedro's.

Light yellow with no head. Nose is lameo and tameo. Not much to say, standard American AL.

Taste is on par with appearance, very mellow and easy drinking but now much flavor other than carbonation and a slight bitterness.overall not good. Go for dose equis at your Mexican restaurant of choice.

Pale golden color with just a wisp of white foam partially covering the top. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma is corn and Vienna lager yeast. The mouth is a bit thin,but crisp. Flavor is corn and more Vienna lager yeast. This is meant to be drank cold. I think it is still my favorite Mexican lager.

The colour is the average straw yellow. A positive comment about the appearance of the bottle and packaging is that it is unlike the other pretentious looking Mexican beers sold in clear bottles. The bottle labeling actually made the beer look more "refreshing" and more "authentic", or so I believe.

This is an easy drinking beer with a bland taste. Whats nice about it is that it does have a nice hint of floral aroma and a slight hops taste. Very clean though. The taste of the beer becomes even cleaner with along with some salt potatoe chips. Slight corn taste, but its all good.

Bottle

El Coyote Junction Mexican Restaurant
Sacramento, CA

A clear, golden highly-carbonated beer with a quickly forming but a quickly disappearing white head. Little to no lacing down the glass.

A slight sweet aroma with some corn elements. At least nothing smells off or foul here.

A clean and crisp flavor with a touch of sweetness and some grainy corn elements throughout.

Thin to medium mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. Crisp and clean.

A good enough beer to enjoy with a hot Mexican meal after a long day of traveling, but not much else.

A 355ml bottle with a BB of May 2012. ABV is stated as 4.5%. Picked up dirt cheap from an off-licence.

Poured into a straight pint glass. A clear yellow colour with medium carbonation. Forms a small head of white foam that dissipates rapidly. Aroma of ultra-light malt with stewed corn and an unpleasant metallic twang. A subtle harshness in the background.

Tastes of exceptionally watery malt with faint hints of corn. Slightly sweet, with a whisper of stewed hops and a mild yet harsh bitterness. Quite dry. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, with tingly carbonation. Somewhat astringent - dries the palate. Aftertaste of stewed corn/veg/leaves and a harsh note.

Bad. Bland and with nasty flavours; I'd have to be pretty desperate to consider drinking this again, even in Mexico. Pacifico - just say no!

Brilliant deep straw color. Head is white and fluffy with a moderate- retention.

Shows some signs of DMS, with corn and cabbage notes. Nose is somewhat muted with mild malt, very light citrus and no real sense of hops.

Crisp, clean taste, with mild malt and rice notes. Very easy drinking.

Light bodied and slightly watery on the finish. Mildly slick on the palate with a nice integration of alcohol to the malt.

Rather one-dimensional. Crisp and refreshing, but sadly forgettable.

Scored this down in Tijuana. Quart size bottle, neat little whale on the label. Kinda went downhill after that.

Yellow beer. No head lace, wasn't even all that clear despite seemingly being 98% water. Smell was industrial, light corn. Taste was similar. Mouthfeel, just really like those flavored waters, not as sweet. Easy enough to drink, goes decent enough with the chicken/dog tacos.

Pale golden yellow color with a thinish head of large bubbles and not much in the stanima department. No lace. Aroma has a bit of corn husk and a merging into hay-in-the-field hops, but this "argicultural" theme is very restrained. This bottle was not skunky. As much as the aroma and appearance are of little note, they are the most distinctive features of the beer. Sweet start, very little at the close, medium carbonation. Pretty close to tasteless, not offensive, but below many macros in impression.
