Straw yellow apperance with minimal head that disappears quickly. Smell is sweet with a hint of corn, nothing significant though.

Taste is mostly of grain and corn with a hint of sweetness and vegetables. Suprisingly stronger flavor for this type of beer. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Aftertaste has a lingering sweetness, but nothing significant.

Overall, a refreshing beer and a bit more flavorful then Corona. If your looking for a good summer beer that's lighter, this is worth a try.

Sorry I love this beer, guilty pleasure yes. But let me tell you I have nothing but fond memories drinking 12 packs of this one the beach while living in Southern California when I was there the summer after my freshman year in college. I also discovered craft beer that way that most of us here know it but this beer is just good mass produced lager, it's not rotten like most mass produced Mexican swill. I even drink it ocasionally at my local Mexican restaurant called Puerta Vallarta. I even squeeze the lime and it tastes so good in bottle or frosted mug. Bottles there are 2 bucks, I just finished a 20 dollar bottle of Infinium. I'd rather drink ice cold Pacifico with Arroz con Pollo and Chile Relleno anyday. Even compared to other shitty beers, this is good tasting and enjoyable, so I'm offended that this is considered the bottom of the barrel. Yes it's fizzy yellow beer and it has corn and rice adjuncts but this one is a lesser of all evils for me. Flavor wise straight or with lime it has subtle sweetness no raw off flavors just a dynamic drinking experience that comes of both drinkable and enjoyable especially when paired with the right foods. Drinkability overall is great mouthfeel is light bodied mass produced thin fizzy lager that I really really like drinking.

As a direct Corona wannabe, you get exactly what you would expect from this beer. Any time a lime is recommended with a beer, it is because the beer is skunky. This beer pours high head, has a way over watered down taste, the color is ultra light yellow, almost the color of urine, whuch would also be a good way to describe the taste. This beer should only be drank when lesser beers like MGD or Bud is all thats available.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Straw yellow, about 1/2 of head that disappears very quickly to nothing with no lacing at all. Lots of carbonation.

A: Very sweet smelling, I'm getting corn and some other grainy notes.

T: Taste is very close to the smell, adjuncts up front cooked veggies, with a corny sweetness. Not much else

M: Light and watered down, pretty highly carbonated.

D: Well it is easy to drink, but way would you...

While never having this Mexian Lager, I ordered this at Charros Mexican Restaurant and am regretting it...

Appearance - This was an average yellow lager with a finger of head but no lace left behind.

Smell - Horrible! Skunk smell, and the beer was before the "Best Before Date". Other than this, smelled like the normal Mexican lager than had been exposed to too much heat (skunk smell due to this probably)

Taste - Did not have any different taste then how a Corona or Tecate would taste with a Lime in it. I ended up having to put the lime in to make SOME type of flavor happen because I did not enjoy the Lager taste of this beer.

Mouthfeel - Light bodied beer of course with a water base and weak contribution to my taste buds.

Drinkability - I know that Corona's or Dos Equis are great with a lime and can be fun on "Mexican nights" but this beer absolutely sucked. Maybe be easy for some to drink but I just did not enjoy at all. Very watered down and didn't do much for me. Will stick with a Corona next time I'm in need for my Mexican beer satisfaction!

Nothing remarkable about the appearance. No head to speak of. Bright, bright yellow color. Smell is slightly metallic but not offensive. Maybe a hint of maltiness. Taste, again, is not offensive, but isn't exactly good. It is water with a touch of beery alcohol. There's enough carbonation to remind you that you aren't just drinking water. It would be easy to drink several of these because they are very light, and if you were on a beach somewhere that might be appropriate.

I've been a fan of Pacifico Clara for a long time. It is probably one of my favorite beers if you particpating in a session. It has no real signature taste. It's easy to drink though. I'm also partial to mexican beers. It has no impressive color. The taste is arguablly not that great. You can dink many of these and not be tired of them. I recommend this for any person that just wants to drink not too seriosly and wants to have fun.

I was at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles so I decided to try a beer I hadn't had before. Poured a pale yellow colour with absolutely zero head nor lacing. Grassy, clean aroma with some grains. A hint of bitterness, but mostly pretty mild flavour. Prickly carbonation, which is weird because there was no head.

A - This pours an extremely light pale yellow. There was a small 1-finger white head that left no lacing. There were a lot of carbonation bubbles present.

S - It smelled like your average macro lager. There was also a very faint hop presence.

T - Tastes like an average watery adjunct lager. Maybe it's a little less watered down to some of the American macros. There were some citrus notes present. Had an aftertaste that I didn't care for.

M - Extremely light bodied with medium carbonation. Its pretty watery, and it leaves a weird taste in my mouth.

D - The taste is bad, but it goes down like water. I could easily drink a ton of these, but I just wouldn't want to.

My only other exposure to this beer was at a dollar beer bar at a party in Chi-town a few years ago. Always a surprise to see it out of its 'native' environment here in the great frozen north...

This beer pours a clear pale golden hue, with one finger of rapidly-dissipating soapy white head, which leaves nada in the way of lace. It smells of water, faint sweet grain, and faint skunked hops. The taste is more of the same - very thin adjunct grain and moderately skunky hops. The carbonation is prickly, but not overbearing, the body medium-light, but still watery. It finishes off-dry, the latent mild grain and skunky, weedy hops going for a swim.

Obviously a beer for the captive beach market, or any other tropical environment - inoffensive for the most part, but certainly not a pick when there is actual choice available.

Reviewed from notes.

Poured into a pint glass. Color is a moderate yellow golden with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Nose is a bit of light grain without much else. Taste is slightly grainy and has a tough of skunked character. Light and crisp. About the same as carbonated water in terms of flavor, but really nothing horrific about it.

Look - Very clear and straw-like in color. Very little foam, which dissipated quickly. Slow carbonation.

Smell - Extremely faint hint of hoppiness, but outside of that there's hardly any smell at all.

Taste - There's hoppiness to the taste of this one, but it feels like a more earthy hoppiness, and therefore possibly truer, without the use of cereal grains and such. Other than that though, there's little to no taste. Texture is toward the creamier side but still somewhat watery.

Drinkability - Not a very interesting brew, but also not the worst adjunct lager out there. Decent enough and at a cheap price.

Pours a pale yellow color with tons of bubbles, active head with little retention or lacing. Scent is almost non existent with only minimal qualities of pale straw and light cooked corn. Taste is also very light with the corn tastes overshadowing the pale straw, light hop extract flavor with minimal bitterness and some faint astingency. Overly carbonated and bubbly, very light body. Not much of a winner with the strong cooked corn flavors and high carbonation.

Poured from the 12oz bottle into a large mug.

A: The beer is a pure yellow with tons of carbonation coming though. Head was sad - 1 finger with poor retention.

S: Surprisingly good - malty with lots of bread. Some slightly fruity hops coming through but not much. Alright.

T: Bread and corn sweetness. A touch of some fruity sweetness, but alot of corn. A lot better than some similar brews like Corona. I will take this with Mexican most times.

It's an ok brew very drinkable and alright tasting.

Had a bottle with some Mexican black bean soup (I forget the Spanish name) at Casa Toro in Coopersburg. Served fresh and cold, I poured it into a pint glass, but had no head retention over the clear gold body.

I actually found the beer to be surprisingly decent, more like a Euro pale lager. It tasted somewhere between Miller Lite and great helles lager. There's more clean bready malt than cooked vegetable (there's very little) and some subtle toast and fruity lager character. I'd say this is on par with Becks and certainly a step up from most Mexican adjunct beers.

poured from the 12 oz bottle into my new belgium goblet:

A pours and produces only a 7-up style head that fizzes away super quickly. brew is the color of apple juice but even clearer that that.

S really nothing at all to the nose. smells like water. or air.

T: standard macro at its best. metallic taste is well hidden. a bit of sweetness comes thru without any type of malty flavor. hops is completly absent.

M: very thin. watery.

D: have to say it excels in this dept. guzzle away! no unpleasant aftertaste, I see no reason to stop at 6. Just make sure you're not the one who's buyin!!! LOLOL

Pacifico has a very thin, quickly-vanishing head, and a crystal-clear golden appearance. Carbonation is moderate. The aroma is a typical beer smell, with a tad higher-than-average barley note. Taste is good, with grain predominating and a nice hop spice. Mouth-feel is light and watery, and Pacifico finishes crisp, satisfying, and fairly dry. Overall, I liked this and would certainly have it again.

24oz brown bottle. pours a crystal clear light golden yellow with a quarter of an inch of off white head that immediately dissipitates. the aroma of hops immediately hits the nose with scents of lemon/citrus in the background although its very subtle. flavors of very subtle hops play on the tongue with the hint of malt in the background. light bodied with medium carbonation. an extremely easy drink especially on extremely hot days. not impressive at all IMO.

24oz brown bottle. Pours a light yellow crystal-clear body with a short-lived inch of off-white head. Aroma is not very strong, but hints at cooked vegetables and husky grains. Cooked vegetable, butter, husky grain and a slight bready sweetness share the flavor. Very light bodied with moderate carbonation. Goes down fairly easy. More flavorful than many in its style. It could afford to be cleaned up a bit.

A - pale, clear, no head remaining after the initial half inch of foamy head goes away.

S - nothing much here. Fairly thin barley pesence hidden beneath a ton of adjunct aromas that I can't really describe other than to just compare it to the way a lake or large pond smell.

T - maybe a touch more flavorful than its American cointerparts with a hint of fruit, but tha's about it. A little weak as well.

M - fairly carbonated, flat yet sour on the back of the tongue.

D - No. Not unless I was on a beach in Mexico and they were going for like a buck for a bucket.

Drank from a bottle.

A: Pretty pale and yellowy from what I could see. Frothy. Unappetizing. Looks exactly like corona.

S: Hoppy, very citrusy, a tad of malt, but its subtle.

T: Corny, citrusy, pretty sweet, midly tart. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think this beer actually needs a lime to be anywhere close to decent.

M: Too carbonated, with a gritty mouthfeel. Poor showing

D: Not good drinkability. Just kinda tastes bad. I don't want another.

A: pours clear corn yellow. despite the vigorous pour it only left a half finger of short lasting head, there is a small amount lingering on the surface due to etching on the glass.
S: grainy sweet corn and malt. so far a bit better than Corona
T: grainy more on the back-end as well as lightly grassy. sweet corn and grainy malt upfront.
M: light bubble bite on the tongue, a bit like a more coating water.
D: more so than other similar brews, wishing for some spicy Mexican food.

Basically a yellow beer with a white pillowy head. The aroma presents a little adjunct, corn it would seem, but nothing else. Very light mouthfeel and nearly flavorless. There is a little pale malt and a ghost of bitterness at the end. Not completely bad, just not much of anything.

Appearance: Very pale gold color with a large, but thin-looking, white head that dissipates quickly and doesn't really leave lace behind.

Smell: Smells like corn, with a bit of grain.

Taste: Begins with a sweet corn flavor, finishing with the same flavor, just more intense. A hint of grain husk in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Light body with sharp carbonation and a watery, refreshing finish.

Drinkability: Is this Corona in a different bottle? This beer is really crappy, and really avoidable. Sure, it's easy to drink, but it has no use to me unless I'm trying to get drunk.

12 oz bottle pours a clear, light yellow color with a "blink and you miss it" white head. Lacing and retention are obviously non-existent.

Nose has a light fruity lager yeast aroma with some corny sweetness and grainy malt. Light and crisp, not a bad smelling mexi-lager.

Light doughiness and grainy malt in the flavor without many off-flavors showing. Mild melon fruit and a light, crisp hopping on the finish. Lightly sweet, adjuncts are evident as the body is very light and not much malt flavor. An above average AAL and this one makes a damn fine michelada.
